Threads displaying collapsed in one folder

2007-02-08 Thread MFPA
Hi

One of my folders has recently decided to display all threads
collapsed instead of expanded.

Pressing * (no quotes) expands/collapses all threads - with or
without Alt, Ctrl or space - but the next time I view that folder
the threads have collapsed again.

All other folders are behaving themselves in this respect.

I have no view modes defined (other than generic view mode,
which nothing is set to use anyway) and Global View Mode is set to
no view mode. All folders (including the problem one) have the
folder view mode set to no view mode.

Can anybody suggest what's wrong and how to fix it?

Found it - right-click on one of the column headings when viewing
that folder, then select message list columns and tick expand all
threads. Quite effectively hidden (since I do not see
expanding/collapsing threads as a column setting) and I fail to
see how I could have inadvertently changed that setting, short of
the cat walking across the keyboard.   (-;

Create a quick template with %SetEditor=1%- and define a shortcut

You're definitely out of luck as you omitted a cutsign. eg

Please include a signature delimiter in your messages. This consists
of a dashdashspacereturn, i.e., a '-- ' by itself on a line.
This allows your readers, when replying, to quote your text without
the signature and list footers since everything below and including
the sig delimiter is excluded when quoting.

You can easily automate this process by including the sig delimiter in
your templates.

Even if you barely have a signature to speak of, that doesn't make any
difference to whether or not you need a cut mark. You are being
courteous to other readers since at least three lines of text is added
to your signature by the list server.

Filter problem

2007-02-08 Thread Joyce Ragels
Hello TBUDL,

I'm a brand new Bat user and I'm trying to set up my filters without
success.

Here is what I have done:

Clicked on Sorting office icon
Account shows my name
Tab is General
Name - Indiana
Sender contains - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Under actions I have move to \\Joyce Ragels\Inbox\Indiana

Now when this mail comes in, it still goes to my Inbox and not
directly to the Indiana folder.

Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

I have set up another filter going into another folder and I can't get
that one right either. I've used filters before, but just must have
taken a stupid pill.

Thank you

J

Moving Account Properties

2007-02-08 Thread Mike Greenbaum
I'd like to move the icon for Account Properties from the Configuration toolbar
to the Standard toolbar.

I can see how to remove it, but then I can't find it to move it back onto the
Standard toolbar.

Are there directions for doing this?

1) Check whether your filters are active (on the options tab), that is
the default, so that shouldn't be the cause.

2) Check whether the message is processed by another filter, filters
are checked top down and a message processed by filter one won't
trigger filter two as it won't be matched against the other filters
unless filter one has the option 'continue processing with other
filters' set. The sequence of your filters is very important.

3) Are you sure you created incoming filters and not outgoing, read or
replied filters?

  View - Toolbars - Customise
Select Main Form/Standard as container
Select All Actions/Mailer Form/Properties as action
There are more instances of properties, you need the one immediately
below Sorting Office/Filters, it has the proper icon.
Add it to the layout with the right arrow button
Press OK and you're done

Not bad for somebody who doesn't use toolbars, if I say so myself. ;-)
