Bat calls home?

Just updated, and perhaps that's the installed default - I usually update manually. I'll see what happens when I start the Bat again. I didn't want to see theBat become yet another call-home program... One problem folder
I regularly compress and purge, but all of a sudden today, TB! freezes when working with one folder. I used maintenance to compress/purge about 355 folders with no problems. I have now tried to complete compressing this one folder and it locks up the computer every time. I have even tried in safe mode, no luck. I also used a fresh download and repaired TB! Still no joy.
