Re: Put message in Outbox

2011-05-25 Thread Rick
Now it seems that any message placed in the outbox will get sent
automatically. I have a postponed delay of 5 minutes, so picking the
Put message in Outbox appears to be the same as send with the
default postponed delay setting which is not how I believe the system
 should work.

For the moment it looks like I am going to have to disable delayed
sending as I really wanted to add some more information to the
messages I have placed in the Outbox.

You can also save as a draft and it should not go out until you open
it and send it.

 Hello George,

G Thanks for the idea, but, everything is the same for TB and
G thunderbird. I'm sure I'm missing something in a file somewhere.

I have seen that error message before.

It could have been caused by the internet provider I used. It could be
that my overzealous university was the one that had blocked the
sending. Are you using the same ISP when connecting with TB! or
 Thunderbird?

THAT was it! Thunderbird only uses the primary SMTP connection to
send while TB! uses the SMTP associated with a given account. I
knew it was something simple. I can live with sending via one
account. Looks like I'll be keeping TB! It handles email so much
better than the other programs. I might even grow to like it more
than the programs I used for OS/2.

 Thanks everyone.

 George
