I pasted a very long line into an e-mail message. The message starts

ok, but the second line was also preceded by 1. I should add that
part of the text of the long line included a that is the symbol I
 use in %QUOTES.

 Thanks.

You might want want to make a paragrah (two times enter) between
the two list items.

Your above comment got me to thinking about just how long I've been using TB.
The earliest email referencing TB was in Feb '98 when my little sister asked
 What's The Bat?

I do know that I was introduced to TB! in the summer of 1999. So I was
right, you outrank me. ;-)

M Hello Jack,

Has anyone else experienced such an anomaly?

M I experienced something similar months ago with messages from an
M specific sender only. In may case, the solution was to change the HTML
Viewer in Options-Preferences-Viewer/Editor-HTML Viewer.

If you've already read my reply to Rick you'll see that your suggestion proved
to
be the solution. Changing the HTML viewer to TB's instead of the system HTML
viewer did the trick.

Admittedly, this was an annoyance more than a true problem but I'm relieved to
have it solved anyway.

Thanks for yours and everyone's help in this.

There already was a two-times enter space between the list items.

I figured out a work-around: I took the (my glyph for quoted
material to which I am replying) out of the text, hit alt + L. The
line wrapped properly, and I then put the back with no ill effect.

Well Rick, sorry to be so dense but I can't find a cache folder anywhere. Not in
Windows files/folders and not within TB's program folders. There are lots and
lots of cache folders but none I could find that were associated with TB.

However, as luck would have it, Miguel apparently had a similar problem and
cured
it by going into OPTIONS + Preferences + Viewer/Editor + HTML Viewer where I
found Use system HTML viewer (Beta) was ticked. I changed it by ticking Use
The Bat! HTML viewer and my problem disappeared. The AMEX email displays
properly now just like all the other HTML emails I receive.

So, once again, thanks for your patience and I hope I never have to search for
that cache folder again;-)

Judging from past experience, it's because I'm doing something wrong or simply
don't understand the instructions.

Fret not, all's well with my world (for) now.

I may be missing something here (I usually am) but since you address your posts
to this list (tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com) don't they appear in your inbox the next
time you do a fetch?

Mine do and I looked around for some setting that might affect that and couldn't
find anything.

Just make sure you have gone out to the web and cleared what you don't want as
once you do that it ALL comes. That is from experience. When I did that a long
