Yahoo Grouos by e-mail and web interface question
02 February 2014 I subscribe to lots of Yahoo Groups by e-mail and TB!. Whilst my posts and those that I quote using a reply below the quotes set up, show fine, as always, by e-mail, I have people telling mt that using Yahoo Groups web interface they just see the top line. None of my reply, and no quotes. Can someone who understands just what Yahoo have done with their recent changes explain if there's a work around for me to use e-mail, yet have my replies and quotes show correctly, or at least usably, on the Yahoo Groups web interface? Thanks, not strictly a TB issue I know but given the knowledge here __ Best Regards, Chris Wilson mailto:ch...@chriswilson.tv Using The Bat! v5.8.10 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
How to Make Junk Mail Messages Bold ?
Hello. Does anyone know how to make messages sent to the Junk Mail folder by anti-spam filtering appear with bold text in the messages list (and, thus, make the Junk Mail folder appear with bold text in the folder list)? I have a couple of filters that send mail to the Junk Mail folder, and I do have the settings for those filter rules leave the messages marked as new, so that I am alerted of such messages sent to the Junk Mail folder. However, messages sent to the Junk Mail folder by my anti-spam agent (I am using AntispamSniper) are not marked as unread, and, therefore, can sit there sometimes for days until I manually check the Junk Mail messages to (usually) delete each of them. Of course, in a perfect world, the Junk Mail folder would contain ~only~ junk mail, but filtering is not 100% accurate, and occasionally I might have one or two non-junk messages sit there for two or three days before I happen to check the Junk Mail folder and find them. (Having to apologize for not replying quickly because the original email message ended up in the Junk Mail folder is not a favorable situation.) Ideally, it might seem as if one could simply empty the Junk Mail folder without checking any of the messages, but, since filtering is not 100% accurate, I prefer to at least look at the subject lines and/or sender addresses before deleting 'em. (The good news is that at least I don't have to read each of them to decide if it deserved deletion.) So, how do I make the messages in the Junk Mail folder filtered out by AntispamSniper be marked as unread so as to have bold text in the message list (so the Junk Mail folder also would have bold text in the folder list)? I don't see any setting that will do this... Thanks for any help offered. Re: How to Make Junk Mail Messages Bold ?
Hello Fred, Hi, Stuart - thanks for your reply. Under Options/Preferences/Plugins/Anti-Spam there is a setting to Mark stored junk mail as read. Do you have it checked? Eureka !!! No, I did not, and somehow never had noticed that setting before. However, I have now checked it, and have since been rewarded (LOL) with a couple of spam messages (and they're real spam messages, not mis-filtered or mis-directed desired mail messages, but they're good for testing) that were shown in BOLD (and I knew they had arrived right away, since the Junk Mail folder showed up in BOLD). Great !!! So, thank you very much for helping me discover that setting, Stuart. Carry on then...
