Re[2]: Filtering question

2014-08-23 Thread Chris Wilson

Hello MAU,

On Friday, August 22, 2014, you wrote:

 Hello Chris,

My filter is To: contains softroc...@yahoogroups.com

and it's stopped working. Why is this if I am using Contains as a
filter, it still contains part of the old address?

 Because 'softroc...@stage.yahoogroups.com' does NOT contain
'softroc...@yahoogroups.com'. If the new address was
'softroc...@yahoogroups.com.stage' your filters would still work.

Do I need to manually change each and every yahoogroups filter?

 I'm afraid so.

Ah yes, of course, I see now! Thanks for that. I was away for two days
and came back to find a load of unfiltered mails in my Inbox, which
would normally have filtered to the correct Yahoo groups folders. the
odd thing is these changed To: header lines have ceased arriving, and
none of these are in my Inbox today. I wonder if it was a temporary
glitch at Yahoo?

Thanks again for your help.

it's the same here and it's working properly

Actually, you can copy all filters associated with an account at once
- just right-click the parent tree node, and select Copy there.

Additionally, you can copy individual filters, paste them in Notepad
(one after another), then copy the entire text from Notepad, and paste
them as filters in another account.

Well, it is good you had not made any changes to your filters.

Hi, Jernej.

Could you elaborate on just what you said please. (I don't understand
exactly what you are describing - sorry.) Thanks.
