My TB! versions has settings at Options ¦ Preferences ¦ Address
History that can reduce the amount of addresses that appear there. If
you have such settings, try experimenting. There is even a
Do-Not-Track list, to which troublesome obsolete addresses can be
added.

You're spot on. Some addresses can't be deleted that way which is the
thrust of my question.

If you're referring to the drop-down list which appears when you click on the
down arrow next to the new message icon, then when the drop-down list appears,
arrow down (not cursor down) to the offending address and press delete.

If you're not referring to the above drop-down list and I've totally missed the
problem, my apologies for wasting bandwidth.

Spell check strange dictionary behavior

2015-07-17 Thread Leonard S. Berkowitz
I only paid attention to which dictionary was open when "Naomi" hit the
wall. It is SSCE\accent.tlx (AM). I have never noticed this before. I
have a whole slew of SSCE??.tlx files all with various language
endings (FR, BR, et) in two directories:

Program Files(X86)\TheBat\Speller and

Owner\App Data\Roaming\TheBat\Speller

How can I have the spell check use my main dictionary wherever it is?

And can I delete one set of these .tlx files? I would imagine that the
Program Files(x86) are left-overs from an earlier version of TheBat

Thanks.

Address History

2015-07-17 Thread Tony Hoare
Hi Tbudl,

Does anyone know how to get TB! to forget address from the address history? I
have some addresses with an email history but the person has changed their
address. I therefore don't want to see the old address in the history.

Some addresses can be deleted from the dropdwon but other (with email history?)
cannot.

I have deleted it from the Addresses tab near the account tree but still it
shows. I've deleted it from the address book too.

Cheers
