Well that explains why Edge was suddenly being used to display PDFs on my
machine. I changed it back to Adobe Reader and so far it's held.

The history of MS suggests it's NOT a bug but intentionally inserted into the
OS.

There's gotta be a monetary reason for that.

I don't actually want Adobe Reader - I _do_ want PDFXChange Editor.
It seems that whatever you put as default for PDF gets reset to Edge
at some point. Correct it again in "default apps by file type" and it
stick for a while, but gets reset to Edge again.

Edgeblocker will stop Edge, but then it gets reset to TWINUI

It is a major bug in Windows 10 (and not only for PDFs apparently)

Strangely, Windows 10 doesn't reset the default mail program or the
default web browser

Warning? message

2017-12-13 Thread Jack S. LaRosa
Hello TBUDL'ers,

This warning(?) has recently been appearing every time I do a fetch from my
Gmail account. There have been no changes to the account in years.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/a68s6uwn2cu6sor/2017-12-05%2017_06_06-Connection%20Center.png?dl=0

I can click "OK" and mail *will* be fetched from the account. Any ideas as to
why it should be appearing?

TB! uses the Windows default.

You can change them permanently, but I don't remember how I did this.
A google search for Windows 10 file associations might help you here.
