This is an interesting thing, however. I've checked a few search

single dealer distributing either SecureBat! or AuthenticBat! I did
find, however, Aladdin still offering TheBat! Pro. Do you know,
Michal, what might be the reason for that?

Maybe RIT told those dealers that this product will be replaced with
SB! soon so they've stopped selling it. Aladdin can be not informed or
can have different agreement with RIT as a hardware vendor for the
product. We can only be guessing now.

Also, what is the situation with these programs in Poland? It is my
understanding that in the past you could only receive SecureBat!
from Germany. Has anything changed in that regard recently?

I don't know how it looks now, but you're right that German
distributor was sending out SB! bundles. Maybe ever worldwide. Can
someone with SB! living outside Europe can confirm that?

And what is the present cost of SecureBat! with Alladin eToken Pro
 32K in Poland?

There are security-related companies which are selling both iKeys and
eTokens but I'm not aware of any software distributor here which is
selling SB! without a special request, like on the regular offer
basis, especially with eToken Pro because TB! Pro was never released
outside Ukraine and/or Russia. Same goes to SecureBat! version
supporting this particular token.

There are plans to release SB! v2 within a month from now on.
Personally I think that this release will be available worldwide with
eToken Pro included.

However, you can still buy SB! v1 (iKey1000) on CIFNET's site:
https://www.cifnet.com/cgi-bin/ritlabs/securebat.html - price is 140$.

You can also try sending email query to Shareware Registration Service
for East Europe (http://www.shareware.ee).

How much does it cost to upgrade from the student TheBat! version
 (V2)?

I think that there is no and won't be such upgrade possibility, which
is for me quite understandable.

Yes there is. A bit uncomfortable but possible. You have to grab programm
called stunnel (it's a tcpwrapper service) from http://www.stunnel.org (as
you've noticed) and lunch it as below:

stunnel-3.14.exe -c -d 993 -r xxx.yyy.xxx.yyy:993

where xxx.yyy.xxx.yyy is your IMAP server IP number.

Then, change your IMAP port in TB! to 993 and your imap server name to
localhost.

You have to lunch stunnel before downloading mail via secure imap protocol.

Remember, you need also libeay32.dll and libssl32.dll lib files.

Hope it helps :-)

Hello Luca,

L Does TB run fine under Windows emulation on Linux (Wine) and MacOS?

Try VMware under Linux (http://www.vmware.com) - you'll need Windows
install CD (9x , NT or 2000), but Wine also emulates better with
orginal dll files from Windows.

Hello Leif,

LG Version 2.x is gonna wipe the walls with the other e-mail software
LG currently out there (including TB v1.x!)

Can you tell me (us) since when are Stefan and Max working on TB!
2.xx?

I'm wondering how much time does it take to make software that will be
wiping the walls :-)

Hello Owen,

OC This may simply be a RTFineM, but when I click on a URL in a mail,
OC De Bat! always opens it in my most recent IE (5) browser window.
OC I'd really prefer it to spawn a new window instead.

Fully agree. So far I was always coping URL into a clipboard and
pasting it into a new browser window spawned by myself (using ctrl+n
of course :-P )

OC Is there a way to force this? is there a key-combo? or is it
OC beyond the bat!s control (a M$ 'enhancement'..?)

I don't know that. Well?

AFAIK, there should NOT be any space characters after "--"

Wrong here, Michal:-) The correct one should be:

 dashdashspaceCR

Well, Iwa s choosing between one space or NOT any spaces, without TB
it's harder to guess, sorry :-)

Buggy groupselector window

1999-11-08 Thread Michal Kosinski

   Bialystok/PL, 1999-11-08

Hello TBU,

I don't remember from how long exactly groupselector is corrupted,
but I think it was since about 1.35 version (maybe one 1.36 beta).
It's useless now and also when you're using TB in polish language,
button text is to large and it dosen't fit into a button. You can
take a look at it, file in attachment. Is it normal also under other
OS? I already send it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - hope it will work.

Filters

1999-10-09 Thread Michal Kosinski

   Bialystok/PL, 1999-10-10

Hello TBU,

I want to filter messages from my "secondary" e-maila account exacly
as I'm doing it on my "primiary" e-mail account, without creating
same folders and filter rules two times in TB!.

Is there a way to set up filters on one account that they will be
coping or moving messages to second account, and then filter rules
from that second account will work and filter messages once again?

Moving messages to Inbox folder placed in second accout folder-tree
  is a solution?
