Yes you do, but still, I think you're the best! I didn't get (not even

You were right, even it wasn't so important, it was a bit rude not to
translate it. Sorry to all. I just thought it wasn't so important to
everyone. My mistake.

Well, that was my first guess, but then I saw THE mouse, and I was
confused. I agree, art can be seen with variety of eyes and ways.

What you haven't seen, that surely DOESN'T exist? Well, I don't like stereotypes
& I like to be (a bit) creative, so I changed

 TNX
  thanks
 TNX 1.0E6
  thanks a million (humorous)
 TNXE6
another form of "thanks a million"

(this e.g. comes from a "JARGON FILE, VERSION 2.9.10, 01 JUL 1992" downloaded
from Gutenberg)

to something I like, and which is "10x" (which I btw saw later to be used by
some people). If any of you actually helped me with my problem, you would get an
extra "Thank You very much for helping" in rather British english accent. To me,
essence is more substantiall than the form. I'm not saying that I didn't learn
anything from this mailing list, but many threads are so offtopic, and it takes
time to read something that doesn't regard the subject. I know also that nobody
forces me to join & read it, but... I'm a student, learning a lot, programming,
getting out with friends, so I don't have a lot of spare time to waste, and I
like the sentence "Carpe Diem". I know what humor is btw. (:

One other thing I noticed. Why every time you don't know the answer to help
someone, you search for something to start teasing, just to post something? Then
it is better not posting anything, than making fun of someone with a problem.

I know that everyone of you would hate me for posting this, but whatta hack - I
can always unsubscribe. (;

Best wishes for everything you plan to do in this New Year.

I'm having problem with SecureBat in a combination with Wine under Slackware
Linux. The thing is that I use Linux for surfing the net (it goes a lot faster
under Linux btw) & in the same time I like Bat very much. So, I decided to try
using it under Linux. I installed Wine, Bat & everything works just fine (maybe
doesn't look so nice, but...). The only problem is font conversion as I'm
getting mails in some different encoding styles (Windows-1251 Cyrillic for
example), and it becomes unreadable. How can I (if I can at all) solve this
problem? 10x. I'm not very familiar with Wine if matters.

I don't know if this would help, but... I use GnuPG and I had the same problem,
but only with messages encoded to UTF-8. I couldn't manage to read them from
inside TheBat, and had to do it from a command line by entering gpg -d "file
with message.txt" & entering main password. I really don't understand the reason
for the lack of UTF-8 support in TheBat!? It's the only thing I miss in this
very good mailer!

Hello Everyone ! Saturday, November 20, 2004. 02:06:21

I'm pretty much new to this mailing list, and I don't know if you have already
discussed this topic, but...

I pretty much manage to do everything related to Bat! on my own, but one thing I
can't find info on is UTF-8 support. I have many friends using Linux, and they
write by default to UTF-8 encoding. Problem is that they use Cyrillic code set,
and this kind of conversion in Bat just won't work. I can read every mail
properly, but when trying to reply, I end up with bunch of signs.

Is there a way to outflank this or I'm left to the mercy of Ritlabs & their wish
list, where UTF-8 full support is already for about 2 years as I'm aware of.

10x very much.

Maybe you should find some answers at this page:

http://gn.org.ua/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=4

There is a text named: "How to read Cyrillic texts on the Internet and send by
email: some hints and explanations". That is the russian version of text, i
don't have direct link to english version, but you should be able to find it
simply once you're there. If don't, I can send you html to your e-mail.

Hope that helps!
