Drag and drop

2000-04-29 Thread Thobias Nilsson

Is there any possibility to drag and drop texst in a message aI write?
Say I want to drag a text somewhere else in the message I'm going to send, is it
possible?
It won't work here...
I know it works in the previous program I used, Outlook Express 5.

Thanks

Cant you just click on the Folders column header? It does sort them
alphabetically. Or am I missing something here?

Well I want my messages in date order... that's why I can't do as you suggest

Please, please, please, please, please, please do NOT reply to a

 threading.

What threading?
I have no problem with that on my machine

Marck is referring to the effect for those of us who thread by
references. If you create a new topic by replying to someone else's
message, your topic gets buried way deep in the other thread. It is
a pain in the neck, especially when trying to quickly scan the
archives (personal archives) to find some information.

Oh, I see, I'm sorry, I didn't know, I'm new at this program and don't know all of the
features that are in
the program, I should create a address book entry :)

Please, if you want to introduce a new topic to discuss, do NOT hit
reply and then change the subject. A better method is to copy and
paste the *address*. This is not a personal attack on you, this is a
comment for everyone. Another solution is to create an address book
entry for the list. Then you can easily put the TBBETA address into
  a *new* message.

Again, this is *not* to discourage posts, on the contrary. Proper
threading makes it easier to follow and participate in the flow of a
  discussion.

It's ok, thanks for telling me this information

Do you mean messages or folders? If you do nothing and a new folder is
always created at the bottom, you have them in date order. ;-)

Well how do I do to to make the folders in date order?
I wan the messages in date order anyway.

Your subject suggests you want the folders in alphabetical order. This
you do by clicking on the "folder" bar in the "folder" list.

Thanks! :)))

Now you want the Folders in date order? I thought your original question
was how to get them in alphabetical order, which Thomas explained to
you. At least let us know if you now know how to get them in
alphabetical order, or leave them in the order in which they were
created... date order. You can also drag them in any order you want as
 well.

 Nick

No no as the subject say, I want the folders in alphabetic order and the messages in
date order.
I have fixed the problem now

Thanks for all the help

If you wish to get rid of the attachment, which is really a
replica of the message being forwarded (RFC headers and all), go to
Account | Properties | Templates | Forward. Uncheck the option "Use
MIME standard for forwarding".

Now to get the body of the message being forwarded into your
bofy of your message, you need to edit the forward template. A good
template is this:

This is a forwarded message
From: %OFromName %OFromAddr
Date: %ODateEn, %OTimeLongEn
Subject: %OSubj

===8==Original message text===
%Text
===8===End of original message text===

The macro %TEXT places the message body text, unquoted into
your forward message.

Thanks for your help!
I unchecked the box "use MIME standard for forwarding" and the text get's inserted in
the body but I also get the attachment of some reason I don't understand. Is it
suppose to be like that?

It's the date format it has, for example then I recieve a mail, it says I recieved for

If so, where does I change it?
