Re: BayesIt option settings

2004-04-18 Thread wee David
Hi Richard,

I just sent a test message from my wife's address, and even that was
filtered into the junk folder. I therefore deleted and re-installed
the plugin, but it makes no difference. Anyone else having this
 problem?

I, for one, now have everything being filtered to the junk folder - it's my new
inbox. I wonder if, like me, nothing filtered *at all* before you upgraded to the Bat
V2.10 and BayesIT V0.5.

Re: Log on to The Bat!

2002-02-03 Thread wee David

For some reason, log on to The Bat! now appears when I try to open
the program. I don't remember setting this, and I can't get in to my
main account or my messages. Is there any way I can retrieve this
situation without losing all my data?

Managed to find it by trial and error. Still don't remember setting
this.

Hi Can,

enable the configuration toolbar from the view menu select the
icon with the key lock picture (3rd one).. are you searching this
 ? let me know pls..

I followed your instructions, and managed to do another way, thanks.
My problem was that for some reason the log-on came up - I hadn't
tried to password protect an account - and I couldn't remember the
account name.

It's all sorted now.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jernej,

Just put glyphs.bmp to your installation folder (typically
 C:\Program Files\The Bat!\)

Doh - that easy. Thanks.

Auto mark as read after filtering

2002-02-01 Thread wee David

Hi.

Is there any way to filter messages to a folder and then have them
marked as read automatically?

Basically, I've joined a high volume mailing list - 656 messages since
joining on 27/01/2002. I don't have time to read every message as it
arrives, but keep them to plough through when I find time. I like the
animated icon alert, but don't want it for all these messages.

Maybe Actions tab in filter office is what you're looking for, isn't
 it?

Wow. 5 answers within 15 minutes!

There's so much in The Bat! that it's difficult for a new user to know
where to look.

That's what makes this list so good.

Thanks to all who replied.

Changing SUbject

2002-01-25 Thread wee David

Hi Nick.

Actually no, because although you have made mention of the original
subject with your change, those who thread by reference will still show
your message buried within the original subject thread, and if they were
not that interested in that particular subject, won't open the thread...
and thus miss your 'new' subject.

When changing the subject, it is always best to start with a new message
and hopefully create a new thread.

Hopefully this is better than what I did before, and the threading
should work.

Hi

I'd like to change my quote style. I got told off on a mailing list for using
firstname as a quote.

I tried using %QUOTES= and QUOTESTYLE= in the template for
replies to this mailing list only. Neither seemed to produce any
changes. Could someone maybe post an abc guide to this for a real
TB novice.

Thanks

 Sufficient?

Hi Roelof,

Strange. I took the last style, and it worked. Guess I was doing
something wrong. I think I'll go with this for all folders, so is it right to make the
change to the account reply

Re: TB Palm m500

2001-12-24 Thread wee David

Kenneth I'm not talking about syncing the default applications such
Kenneth as datebook, address, etc.

Kenneth I'm simply talking about mail programs you can sync with Mail
Kenneth application in Palm.

Kenneth You can sync these mail applications even though you are using Palm
Kenneth Desktop or any other conduit programs (such as Pocketmirror, etc).

Hi Kenneth,

I haven't tried it for a while, but I think if you sent up The Bat! to
be a MAPI client, then the default mail conduit will sync the inbox
contents of desktop client with default Palm mail client.

If I get some time over the next couple of days (bit busy with
Christmas and the wife expecting a baby any day!), I'll try it and let
you know.

Sorting folders

2001-12-10 Thread wee David

I've looked for, and probably missed, the answer to how to sort
folders in the Users FAQ and the list archive.

Basically, I'd like to sort the folders so that the ones I use most
are at the top of the tree after the in, out, sent and trash. Is there
a way to do this?
