About errors in log...

2001-02-19 Thread Lija

Hello TBUDL subscribers,

Can someone explain me these parts in my Account log:

!19.2.2001., 06:01:59: FETCH - Connection to host broken (last commands sent were:
"RETR 1", "RETR 2")
!19.2.2001., 06:03:11: FETCH - Server reports error. The response is: -ERR Unable to
lock maildrop

What is RETR12?
What is maildrop locking?

Does this happen when connection corrupt (prematurely?)?

Hi Lija,

...
L What is RETR12?

Retrieve message 1
Retrieve message 2

L What is maildrop locking?

Sounds like a Unix box cannot get exclusive access to a
file/directory at this moment.

L Does this happen when connection corrupt (prematurely?)?

Sounds like a temporary mailserver problem to me.
