One would think that with the frustration expressed on these lists that the process of reporting bugs would be a little simpler... I sometimes think of The Bat and/or Ritlabs like an old friend who is often bumbling and inept... trying hard, but making some really dumb choices. You love him and will likely be friends forever. The page set-up has changed, and I was indeed able to sign up for a new account, which I had been prevented from doing in the past few months. Hi Mary and list, On Monday, June 28, 2004 at 06:59:45 GMT -0500 (which was 13:59 where I live) Mary Bull wrote (at least in parts) and made these valuable points on the subject of "Can't Register at Bug Tracker [was Re: shortcut for Mail Ticker]": > And just did. Any suggestions for what Perry and I can do about this? Yeah - just go to bugtracker's login-page (https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/login_page.php) and press "signup for a new account") and forget all about the old account. Remember to write down or memorize your password this time :-) BTW: Could your old account-name have been "Mary" ??? There is only this account which reminds of you. -- Regards :Michael_Geyer: Michael powered by The BAT! 2.12 Beta/1 with usual problems of Windows XP Pro 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Can't Register at Bug Tracker [was Re: shortcut for Mail Ticker]

Perhaps I'm experiencing the same thing you are. I think that we are indeed experiencing the same thing. I am old, and I can't recall registering there, but I most probably did--late in 2002 when I first got The Bat! At that time I had a Compaq 4540 with 2.99 GB hard drive and Win95B as the OS. My domain and ISP were the same, Premiernet. This company has now gone out of business. And I've moved to a different city, with a new computer (well, new since December 2003), a new ISP, and a new e-mail address. I haven't a clue what I might have chosen as my user name and password at Bug Tracker. I was pretty green then, paranoid also, and made up all sorts of passwords without writing them down anywhere. So, effectively I'm disenfranchised. And I guess you are, too. PN> Maybe someone else who is reading this thread will add it for us. I hope so. As I look at this exchange between us, I'm thinking the problem deserves a new thread. I'm going to see if I can craft a new subject line for it. And just did. Any suggestions for what Perry and I can do about this? -- Best regards, Mary :Mary: The Bat! 2.11.02 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
