Yes, agreed. My problem is that necessary other software we use has
stopped Windows development and gone over to the Mac universe,
I'm not willing to give up TB! - ergo.

I was happy with the Play on Linux running TB! I upgraded from my
ancient XP and version 4.22 of TB! to version 7 (something)
because 8 was unstable there.

AG> A native Linux and Mac version of The Bat is of course the ideal

Yesss.

Thanks for your response.

Any Windows virtual machine on a Mac should work. I have VMWare on my
Mac, but I use it very rarely,-Rather defeats the point of buying a
Mac and then running Windows-

I need to look at Crossover for my Linux PC.

A native Linux and Mac version of The Bat is of course the ideal

Hi Jason,

That is a disappointment. So, using a 'mail computer' will have
to be the choice.

I'm not sure I understand the flap from Apple about the security

The Bat! Home Edition, Version 7.0.0.56 (32-bit) (Yes, I've
finally upgraded from v4xxx, but then, this is a Win7 machine.)

Crossover or somesuch??

2018-06-04 Thread Maggie Meister
Hello all,

We're thinking about buying a Mac computer. We already have two
Linux (Ubuntu), two Win7, and an XP. It seems some of the
software we are using is migrating away from the Win environment.

We have successfully run TB! on the Linux machine using Crossover
and Play on Linux. Might there be a way to run TheBat! on a Mac
through Crossover, Boot Camp, Parallels, Citrix XenApp, or other
such applications??

I'm not sure I understand the flap from Apple about the security
issues of email and their system, but I am loath to abandon my
TheBat! after using it since version 1, and not interested at all
in the Apple mail system.

The Bat! Home Edition, Version 7.0.0.56 (32-bit) (Yes, I've
finally upgraded from v4xxx, but then, this is a Win7 machine.)
