Error restoring attachments
Has anyone else experienced problems restoring attachments with The Bat! 2.12? I reinstalled Windows today (with a slipstreamed SP2), and before formatting I did a full backup in TB!, electing *not* to store external attachments in message bodies. Now that I've installed Windows and have come to restore my TB! archive, I get this error when trying to restore attachments: Error extracting attachment 'filename' into 'path', where filename is one of the attachments and path is in my MAIL directory. I've tried this with older backups and get the same error. Has anyone had similar experiences, or know a way to fix this? Thanks! Isn't that what you should've done in order to preserve the attachments? They're not stored in the message body (and thus, the messagebase). Apparently you've formatted your attachments away... :-{ -- Best regards, Alexander Dilbert's Words of Wisdom: Needing someone is like needing a parachute. Are you sure that's what necessary to back up attachments? If so, why does TB! allow you to check the attachment files box for backup, and elect not to store them in message bodies, as I've done? If it was necessary to store attachments in message bodies to back them up, TB! would do so automatically. Furthermore, I'm positive the attachments have been backed up, because my .tbk file is 100MB and my successfully restored mail folder is only 30MB. The attachments are in the tbk file, they're just not being extracted and restored properly. Just for the record, is anyone with TB! 2.12.00 able to successfully back up and restore attachments separate to message bodies? Would someone mind running a small test and checking that for me? I'm pretty sure this has always worked for me in the past. Thanks :) Current version is 2.12.00 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
