I don't use it anymore. :) I haven't used it for some time now.

The only way to preserve your signature is to make sure that nothing
in your message body will be encrypted by the server.

Of course, there's always the copy to the mailing list users that will
always be OK, so it's really up to you and what your priorities are,
i.e., using a mid link in your introductions or having your
signatures break when they arrive on the server.

I note that my PGP/MIME signatures will have problems being verified
by those using many news readers. However, I just noted that they
verify fine using ThunderBird and Enigmail.

KC I suppose that I could use pgp/mime like you have here and then
KC the gmane message wouldn't display the broken pgp signature.

The mid links would still be encrytped and this would break the
PGP/MIME signatures.

KC BTW, I thought that pgp/mime was only allowed in the TBBeta Yahoo
KC Group. Has this changed?

At the time we suggested that it be restricted to TBBETA, PGP/MIME was
not yet supported by an official TB! release. Now that PGP/MIME
support is well established there's no problem PGP/MIME signing your
list messages since subscribers will be able to verify your signatures
and it's a better signature type to use since all the unreadable stuff
is not displayed in the viewer and attachments are added as part of
the message that's signed/encrypted.

Gmane can break PGP sigs

Hello TBUDL!

I noticed my reply to a message that I posted here when echoed to the
gmane newsgroup does not verify anymore due to address string
alterations. I understand why this is happening, its just something
that caught me by surprise. Below are snippets from the beginning of
each message showing the alteration.

That's the address encryption working.
