G THAT was it! Thunderbird only uses the primary SMTP connection to

G Thanks everyone.

You're welcome, and thanks for the feedback.

That's a server message, not something created by TB, so my guess is
that you've configured TB to send to a different server/port. So
compare the smtp configuration for Thunderbird and TB.

Another idea: Are you using an Anti-virus program for outgoing
messages, and if so, the same?

I'm just guessing here, really. I am trying to remember when I saw
that error message before.

Is the outgoing mail from one of the apps (but not the other) being
intercepted by anti-virus software before sending?

I found some hints that authentication to the server isn't done
correctly if that error is thrown.

So check if the SMTP authentication settings are the same between TB
and TB!

How do I fix rcpthost issues?

2011-05-16 Thread George
Hello TBUDL,

This only happens in The Bat. Pegasus, Thunderbird, webmail, and my
blackberry send email to the address in this error message. I got it
before, but, it was a one time send to a new company. This is a
regular email correspondent. So far, TB has been great, but, this is
a royal pain having to switch email programs to reply to some
messages.
