I want to count messages that arrive...
I want to count messages that arrive to a particular. Even if I delete them I want the counter to continue incrementing with each one that arrives... Any ideas anyone? -- Marten Gallagher Annery Kiln Web Design www.annerykiln.co.uk Using The Bat! 3.85.03 with K9 on Windows XP 5.1 tbudl@thebat.dutaint.com Current version is 3.85.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Download the TBLH.ZIP file from here: http://www.pcwize.com/thebat/tblh.zip Then click here: http://www.pcwize.com/thebat/mailing_lists.shtml#Filter%20Two Scroll up two images and start reading the text where it starts: Here's an additional note. I was playing around with a way to include the current number of subscribers in the subscribe receipt. I finally found a way using VBScript and a couple of well placed INCLUDE statements. Here's how it works. This should be pretty easy to adapt to what you want to do. Be careful unzipping the ZIP file. I'd do it manually rather than automatic because it's going to unzip into C:\program files\the bat! folder. -- TBUDL/BETA/DEV/TECH Lists Moderator / PGP 0x5D167202 __ Geocaching:http://gps.PCWize.com ( ) ( ___)(_ _)( ___) TBUDP Wiki Site: http://www.PCWize.com/thebat/tbudp )(__ )__) _)(_ )__) Roguemoticons Smileys:http://PCWize.com/thebat ()()()(__)PHP Tutorials and snippets:http://www.DevTek.org Singing-- Do Wah Ditti, Ditti, Dum Ditti Doo. Would you be offended I waited to see if anyone has a less brain-bending way? -- Marten Gallagher Annery Kiln Web Design www.annerykiln.co.uk Using The Bat! 3.85.03 with K9 on Windows XP 5.1 Current version is 3.85.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Marten, Monday, October 16, 2006, 10:17:43 AM, you wrote: Eeekkk! That'd keep me quiet for a week or two! Good! grin Thanks for the detailed pointer... Most welcome. Would you be offended I waited to see if anyone has a less brain-bending way? Uhm. Yes. Most definitely! grin jk... It's really not too complex. Create a filter to count the messages, call the batch file which in turn calls the vbs which updates the .txt file. To see the counter either include the .txt file or just open the text file whenever :-) -- TBUDL/BETA/DEV/TECH Lists Moderator / PGP 0x5D167202 __ Geocaching:http://gps.PCWize.com ( ) ( ___)(_ _)( ___) TBUDP Wiki Site: http://www.PCWize.com/thebat/tbudp )(__ )__) _)(_ )__) Roguemoticons Smileys:http://PCWize.com/thebat ()()()(__)PHP Tutorials and snippets:http://www.DevTek.org Error: No keyboard found.
