No I have not an answer or question to this thread. Rather a question
to you Allie! I thought you have left the Mod. position in all ML?

I did. Marck did the moderating in this thread. Not me. Look again. :)

Oh my goodness. Normally I'm not looking in thread view (very seldom).
Yes and sorry it was Marck initiating the Mod remark

Re: Mod: Top posting (was: Occasional freezing problems)

2004-10-24 Thread Atanas Vasilev
Okay, sorry about this, my intentions were not to make it difficult
for you to get the picture.

The problem happened when I was using earlier versions of The Bat.
Later I upgraded to 2.12.00 with a clean message database and the
freezing never happened. As the number of messages increased the
problem showed up again. There are 3 occasions when I experience the
freeze:
1. When I write a message
2. I also experience the freeze if the
editor is open but I browse my message folders at the same time
3. When I choose Send while I see the Connection center

As I see it, the common thing is the editor being active.

I don't have any spam checking plug-ins, or any virus checking
software active.

As a matter of fact while we were exchanging these posts I upgraded to
the current version 3.01.33 and I experience the freeze while I'm
typing this message again! I'm sure that if I delete all my messages
it will not happen.

My OS is Win 2K Service pack 4; Duron 1.3 Gh; 512 KB DDR

Is there any other info necessary for you to explore the problem?

Thanks again!

Did you explore the possibility of a temp file overload being the
problem?

What if you disable mailchecking while editing? What's your mailcheck
frequency set to?
