TM There is a better programm than web2pop. It is called Izymail. With
TM that one you can receive and _send_ emails to hotmail

Send?
Through Hotmail or Yahoo?

I can only get it to send from my providers smtp address,
just as with Web2Pop.

What am I missing?

PC web2pop can bring in your hotmail to TB. I use it for yahoo mail, but
PC there is also a hotmail plugin.

Thanks for the information. Where do I get web2pop and how do I
configure TB to work with it? You also said there is also a Hotmail plugin. Where do I
get this from?

Thanks,

Hello Thomas,

If I import them via Outlook Express then they just keep
bulking up my Inbox folders in the Bat! with duplicated messages.
Can you come up with any suggestions.

You have the option to kill duplicates. Folder Kill all
dupes in all folders (or something like that) :)

TM I am using IzyMail. It is a very little programm and you can wright and
TM send to hotmail etc. by TB! Great.

IMHO, Hotmail is spam infested and I wouldn't lock my life
away to them in regards to e-mail. Try finding a less
popular free POP 3 provider like hot pop.

http://www.hotpop.com or net I think :)

GC Thanks for the information. Where do I get web2pop and how do I

GC get this from?

PC http://www.jmasoftware.com/english/index.html

PC to setup web2pop with TB just set web2pop as your server. When you setup
PC web2pop it asks for your account info ( hotmail,yahoo..whatever..)

I went on the Website and downloaded the plugin for Hotmail. I then
installed this in The Bat! folder in my programme files. I created a
new account called Hotmail and when asked for the SMTP and PoP
addresses I filled in web2pop. I then dialed in to see if I could get
connected to Hotmail but nothing happened. What have I not done
correctly to make this work?

PC then try F2 when the focus is on the hotmail account folder. Down at the
PC bottom of the TB windows you should see a line that has :
PC connection finished , X messages received.
PC if it has an error, then... tell me what it says.

PC make sure web2pop is running of course, and it has the hotmail module
PC loaded.

The message at the bottom of TB window say: connection finished. Could
not connect to server. I am not sure if web2pop is running I cannot
see any sign of where it has installed on my computer or in TB.
