Unfortunately it doesn't seem to make a difference if the window is in the background or foreground... just tested it now and the Connection Centre window is still open, blank now, even though the connection is finished. And, if I then manually close the Connection Centre window, then close TB!, I get the warning window: "Some tasks are now active. Do you want to exit when they are finished?" So I guess it is still technically open.
