How do you expect them to finance their hardware and service?

 Anyway, I recommend www.gmx.net
1GB of space and has all the features you want in the free version.

I am interested in a free email a/c with pop3 and smtp. However, I don't
understand the foreign language. Does www.gmx.net has a English page on
its web site?

SO said me that GMAIL use robots on our mails to statistical survey... :( Maybe
anonymous but I don't like this idea...

Truth or Bullshit ?

In france, the official postal service, La Poste propose free services for
mail for free. I think the only suffix @laposte.net is sufficient to
advertise their name...

SC I don't think anything will match your criteria mainly because of the
SC free part, but if you are willing to try IMAP go to www.fastmail.fm .
SC There you can get a free account that you can try out to see if you
SC like it and if you do you can upgrade to a better plan for a very
SC reasonable cost. it appears to be an excellent service and many people
SC here are using it.

Well integrated with TB (pop, smtp) ? I have 5 email accounts to create. TB use
simultaneous and multi threads for receipt. My actual provider block more than
4 simultaneous checks of mailboxes...

TF Why don't you just invest a few hundred thousand euros (minimum) and
TF create a free multiple-language email service for anybody to use? Pay
TF for maintenance and electricity, hire staff (who will deal with your
TF customers' demands for more free services, more free server space, a
TF better web interface and so on), but do not charge your customers. And
TF do not get alternative income from advertising. Also make sure that
TF you are not being used by spammers, as then your domains and IP
TF addresses will be on every blacklist and your customers will complain.

TF Please keep us informed about your project.

I understand your point of view. But how a linux or an OpenOffice is possible
and reality, and not possible for a mail services ? I think there is no cost,
no ads in opensource, netherless, we have real good products. There is a
costly web site, developers for the softs, electricity, etc...

ASK Because you need hardware maybe?
But open source too... For the web site, the development environment, for
maintenance, support, etc... I think about mozilla and firefox... How do they

I don't know, is it possible to use secure POP3 in K9? I don't think so.

It seems to allow you to set up an account if using APOP verification,
whatever that is!
