MDP When postings are archived, your email address becomes exposed on MDP web sites, making you easy prey for address harvest robots and MDP increasing the amount of spam you get. Oh, thank you, Marck. I got so involved in being a programmer vbg that I didn't even notice that. When I was patiently deleting all that trash manually, I did take it out. I don't need another bout with the harvesters. Changed my address last June I was getting so much spam. Knew better. TM The one you want to watch out for is the 'Cut' mark. I think that is TM part of the list rules... :-] TM ,- [People on this list are much happier if you use a Cut Mark] TM | This is a special sequence that starts on a new line and consists of TM | two dashes (minus signs) and a space followed by another new line. TM | TM | NewLinedashdashspaceNewLine TM | TM | This cut mark is recognized by many eMail programs and is used as a TM | cut off point for signatures. That way, when someone replies to one of TM | your messages, your signature (anything below the cut mark) is TM | removed. Likewise, when you reply to a message from someone that TM | includes cut mark, The Bat! will remove anything below the cut mark TM | from the text you quote. TM `- [see FAQ www.silverstones.com/thebat/samples.html#newmess] TM Reply to my message and notice everything below this sentence is gone TM in your reply... Thanks.
