Probably not the same problem I have as F4 works on almost all messages except
for a few. Also F7 brings up the Message finder.

To check what shortcut is set for Reply Quoting Selected Text select
View/Toolbars/Customize and select the Shortcuts Tab.  Then select Main
Form/Main Menu/Specials and look for Reply Quoting Selected Text. If its not F4
you should be able to change it.

I don't know why, but on the XP box the F4 does a reply with an empty
reply message, which is same thing you describe.

Like your situation, I have no idea of the reason for difference.
I've tried to check settings pretty carefully between the two, but
can't see any differencesexcept for the ones I missed, I'm sure.
