Unthreading a message

Hi all,

I'm trying to unthread a message which has been erroneously linked to another 
message. According to various posting I've found on TBUDL I should be able to 
do this by Shift+Click and dragging the message away from the thread. When I do 
this I get a nice message which says: 

OK to remove threading references from 1 message?

When I select Ok to confirm the action nothing happens the message remains 
threaded in the wrong position. Am I missing something here or doing something 
wrong? I've tried this a number of times and can't get it to work on this 
message. Any advice or help would be much appreciated!

That works great now, thanks Felix. From looking at the messages I guess that 
the unthreading was working fine but the view mode was still threading by 
subject! Hence why things appeared not to work.

This only works when the 'View threads by' option is set to
