Since your description of the problem is very good, I hope you don't mind that I copied it into a bug report I just added to the Bugtracker. I'm not directly affected (shutdown happens in a reasonable time here, and the screen redraw is OK (but noticably slower compared to 3.0.x.x series), but since you are the third person (or so) in a short time to report these problems, and there was no Bugtracker entry for it yet, I took the time to file the bug report. Please, anyone who experiences similar problems or has additional information, add your notes and observations here: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5376 CC'ed to TBBETA where Jerry and Vili posted their experiences. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) Deliplayer2 is playing: "Overload (PutPut Remix)" (10:24) by H.U.V.A. The re-draws are very noticeable, there is a lag when opening messages, and closing TB after running for some time takes FOREVER. Vili has apparently solved his problem with speed, but compared to earlier builds, 3.62.14 is positively pokey. The shut down speed is unacceptable - I ahve no other program on my systems, email or otherwise, that take as long to shut down. I can even boot up Windows XP Professional in a shorter time. There is a thread which speculates that the cause could be a slow hard drive rotation speed, graphics card, insufficient processor speed, insufficient RAM, etc. For what? The Bat does not require the latest hardware and can be run comfortably on a Windows 98 system. Until the latest beta series, it has been very responsive. So I agree with your reasons for sticking with an earlier version and extend them to include the issue of speed. I have gone back to this because: 3.6.24 is broken: new messages created do not use the template set for a common folder when creating a new message. And this is an integral part of my organisational system here. 3.6.0x is broken: it hangs on a random account when connecting to download messages. I have seven accounts from which I download and always one hangs and the only way to quit is to CTRL-ALT-DEL and kill TB. -- Marten Gallagher Annery Kiln Web Design www.annerykiln.co.uk Using The Bat! 3.51.10 with POPFile 0.22.3 on Windows XP 5.1 Current version is 3.62.14 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hi Marten: I noticed that you are using 3.51.10. I am as well. May I ask why you choose this version? Tried it two times, once with filtering on Header field TO (and From) and once with filtering on Sender and Recipient Both times the original remained unchanged. -- Groetjes, Roelof I have seen the future and it is now the past. Weird behaviour copying and pasting filters
I create a filter for an account to act on Incoming Mail to: filter incoming mail TO [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be sent to Common Folder 'Beaford Arts' TB! Message Filter beginFilter UID: [A2F35320.01C5EE20.4AF9CA89.67A01CB1] Name: Beaford\20Arts Filter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] MoveMessage folder \5C\5C\5CBeaford\20Arts IsActive Ignore IsSendNow endFilter then copy and paste it to act on Outgoing Mail and edit it to: filter incoming mail FROM [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be sent to Common Folder 'Beaford Arts' and change colour to 'OutGoing colour group. TB! Message Filter beginFilter UID: [D6D77390.01C5ED4A.252F93C0.682566C4] Name: Beaford\20Arts Filter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SetColour -793587476 MoveMessage folder \5C\5C\5CBeaford\20Arts IsActive Ignore IsSendNow endFilter So when I paste it at first it is identical to the Incoming Mail filter. So I change the Header Field from TO to FROM I then click back and look at the original incoming mail filter - ODD - it ahs changed also to FROM instead of the TO In other words it appears that the original takes the argument of the copy when the copy is changed.
