automagically attaching 2 files to an email

2005-07-24 Thread alists
Hello listbuds,

I have a Q for all you wizzies out there!!

Every day I send an email out with 2 attachments (always named the
same thing). I would like to automatically attach those files and
address the item... but I would like to have a chance to put a
personal note in the message before sending. if the files are always
in the same spot and named the same, is it possible? If so can you
HELP me figure how?

You're amazing!

My general advice is: look into TB's template system, and learn about the
macros. Press F1 to open TB's help, select the index search for macros.
Have a look at the full alphabetic list of macros.

With templates and macros, you can do exactly what you need. It depends on
your setup how you can best achieve this.

 HELP me figure how?

You could create an address book group template, putting all recipients (if
its multiple recipients) of the two files message into that group.

Or you could set up a quick template and include it manually to a message
whereever you need it.

The important thing is that you can use macros to attach files. The macro
to attach a file automatically is:

 %ATTACHFILE=filepath

You can of course use multiple instances of the macro. If you put this:

 %ATTACHFILE=c:\attach\file1.jpg
 %ATTACHFILE=c:\attach\file2.jpg

into a Quick Template and name it, lets say 2files, you can type 2files
(minus the quotation marks) into the message and press CTRL+Spacebar to
insert the Quick Template into your message. No text will be added to your
message of course, but the two files will be attached, and you can freely
create the message content as you wish.

 You're amazing!

I know. :-)

PS: another little suggestion: add a realname to your setup. Its much nicer
if we can address you with your beautiful name rather than with a long
and/or cryptic email address. ;-)
