Yes. It's an IE configuration error. Go into Internet Options (Tools
 | Options in IE) and go to the Programs tab. Go to 'E-mail' and
select something other than TB. Click Apply. Now select TB. Click
apply. Close and all should be fine.

Is this in the FAQs? Comes up from time to time.

Thanks. Sorry for asking the obvious. I finally checked myself and
sure enough, my IE settings has reset to default settings (Outlook
Express as mail client).

I should have known that uninstalling The Bat would cause IE to lose the
reference to TB.

RE: the FAQ entry: I believe the in order to repeat the problem, you
have to have two conditions met: TB registered as MAPI handler and IE
set to use anything else for the mail client.

mailto: link craziness

2004-02-01 Thread ken green
I remember this problem a long time ago, and I remember figuring it out
and fixing it. But now I don't remember what I did.

When I click a mailto: link on a webpage (IE 6) I get about 30 IE
windows that pop up - and no new message in The Bat.

I had this problem a long, long time ago when I first installed The Bat.
I haven't had it since then, but my recent upgrade/downgrade/re-install
obviously tripped something up.

Anyone know what setting causes this?
