I was just trying how to block via pf some traffic which is not on my lan and 'from route default' works nice. Of course I can set it manually, but I was curious ;) block on egress ... ? that is not the same. that will catch (block in this case) all traffic on the interface(s) the default route(s) point to, wether it matched the (really a) default route or a more specific. Yes, and if (as me) somebody has on iface then it is egress all the time :) jirib

Re: Support for UTIME_NOW, UTIME_OMIT, and futimens(2)
On Thu, Jul 14, 2011 at 12:05:18PM -0700, Matthew Dempsky wrote: I'm unsure what values are best to pick for UTIME_NOW and UTIME_OMIT. The only restriction is that they be distinct integer values outside the valid range for tv_nsec values (i.e., [0, 9]). Values below are from Linux; OpenSolaris uses UTIME_NOW == -1 and UTIME_OMIT == -2. Unless anyone objects, I'm going to change this to UTIME_OMIT == -1 and UTIME_NOW == -2. Rationale is weak, but: - It should be slightly more efficient to check (tv_nsec = 0 tv_nsec = 9) || tv_nsec == UTIME_OMIT || tv_nsec == UTIME_NOW if UTIME_OMIT and UTIME_NOW are contiguous with [0, 9]. The compiler should be able to optimize the test to simply ((u_long)tv_nsec + 2) = 11.) - Making UTIME_OMIT == -1 means it has the same bit pattern as VNOVAL. (Code shouldn't rely on this because they're logically disjoint types, but I can imagine it being a convenience when debugging VFS code that all 'noval' values are -1.)
deflate.c missing functions in #ifdef DEBUG

Allow raw sockets to process icmp echo requests.
Hi, this diff adds a sysctl to disable kernel icmp echo processing and pass it to userland via raw sockets. I'm terrible with names but I chose userecho, so net.inet.icmp.userecho. I did some basic tests and it seems to work ok. I kinda need this to tunnel ip over icmp echo. Can't you just write a PF rule to pass the incoming ICMP packets to a divert socket for a userland program to handle?
