These were all random test glitches, I re-ran them all.

Great, thanks. So let's leave it as it is for now, but we'll keep an
eye on this during F27 cycle. If we get to, say, Beta and there are no
results for the test, that's gonna be a problem. Thanks!

Yeah, in general, we need the RC validation testing to be a last sanity
check, rather than the point where we discover all of the problems.

Well, I mean, every few *days* a compose gets nominated for validation
testing, and a mail is sent to test-announce. Just check your test-
announce archives for mails with "nominated for testing" in their
subject lines, and you'll see dozens. Is this not sufficient
notification?

This is only practical if it's going to be tested, and tested regularly
- not *only* on the final release candidate, right before we sign off
on the release. It needs to be tested regularly throughout the release
cycle, on the composes that are "nominated for testing".

Re: Another Fedora 26 test request: VMware

2017-07-06 Thread Rosnel Echevarria
Hi All,

I'm testing using WS 11.0.0 build-2305329. I am able to boot 25 OK on this
VM, but not 26. I don't get to see the gray screen, but eventually, I do
get to rescue mode and I am able to get the journal. Not sure my issue is
the same as yours as it seems I am not getting as far as you are. Still, I
figured I would upload the journals in case they help. I will be testing on
ESXi 6.5 later today.

 VM settings:
https://paste.fedoraproject.org/paste/Ljkrk0tBSmaX0RPf2dBUqw

Journal
https://paste.fedoraproject.org/paste/r3s3MflNnT8ZinctmhjtIQ

nomodeset Journal
https://paste.fedoraproject.org/paste/cq4ug2caz2wyHeiekSrqqw

Let me know if there's anything specific you want me to test.

Thanks,

Ross

What about the basic video option in the boot menu? With gray screen is it
possible to get to a VT, and then grab the journal?

If I add nomodeset I get to the Install Fedora to the hard drive screen, but
the dialogue vanishes when I try to click on install and the machine becomes
unresponsive.

The grey screen is what pops up just before the option to install fedora to the
hard drive dialogue window.

Can't get a to a VT.

Let me know if you want me to try anything else.

Introduction

2017-07-06 Thread Robbi Nespu
Hi tester,

I'd like to introduce myself.. I am Robbi Nespu and live at Malaysia.

I started using Linux since 2005, Started with OpenSUSE, Ubuntu, Debian,
Knoppix, Oshirix SPE (local linux from Malaysia, but the project are dead
since 2013), Centos, Redhat and Fedora (Which I stick using this distro
since Fedora 21 and I like it). Professionally I work as a software
engineer. I am certified as tester (CTFL) and requirement engineer (CPRE)
but I would still call myself a beginner.

Why did I decide to join? I want to contribute something and decide to
start with Quality Assurance.

My thanks to Adam Williamson for sponsor my membership as part of QA and
Kamil Paral for appoved my subscription too this mail list (He said, there
seems to be some bug in mailman during subscription and needed to manualy
approved)

Looking forward to collaborate and learn.

Best Regards
