Installing wine.x86_64 pulls in dozens of i686 packages by default through
implicit or explicit dependencies.

Is there a good tutorial on using those tools someplace?

I can run gnome-abrt remotely. It shows a crash to gnome-shell from
about two weeks ago (which is post-upgrade) but I haven't gotten it to
run the report successfully yet.

I did note a report in F26 common issues relating to gsetting
org.gnome.SessionManager auto-save-session. It was set to true on the
offending machine and false on the working machine. I reset the flag
but haven't tried logging in yet. But the report suggests that only
every second login will fail and I was getting failures on every login.
Will report the result of this change later today.

IMO, we need to stop allowing arch to be specified in dnf by default. Users think
they need to add them and get into constant trouble by it. I've closed a handful of
bugs against Wine for this reason. A command argument could be added to dnf to allow
an arch to be specified.

dnf --enablearchtagbecauseiknowwhatimdoing foo.i686

Yes, I'm being extreme, but it is a pain point for users and to put it bluntly their
ignorance gets them into trouble.

Hi,
just I downloaded F26 RC 1.5 from the official download site. Tried to boot the

previously on one of the prereleases of F25, there it was a timer, which was
adjusted badly for my system.

medium is at the end of it's life, I will try this on a new 32GB USB flash
medium. But anyway I want to inform You as quickly as possible about what has
happened. See screen shot attached.

Unlikely. That variable only covers those few packages explicitly listed in
another related variable.

There is multilib package protection already, but at some point
of time you may have interrupted an update transaction (such as with
a reboot/shutdown) without continueing it afterwards.

I think I see it, try "dnf install --best wine", so it will not only
install gstreamer1-1.12.1-1.fc27.i686 required by wine, but also update
gstreamer1-1.12.0-1.fc27.x86_64 to 1.12.1-1. This kind of errors appear
when dealing with multi-libed packages. Or do "dnf update" first.

Thanks for reaction, the problem was in the duplicate:
* gstreamer1-1.12.1-1.fc27* gstreamer1-1.12.0-1.fc27
Maybe it will be a good idea to use 'installonly_limit=1' into a dnf
configuration sometimes.

Regards.

You could have truncated your post by not quoting so many lines that don't
add anything other than conflicts for more files.

The x86_64 and i686 build of a package are published at the same time.
