Re: unable to install fed30 beta-1.7 on dell precision 5530 (problem with kernel-5.03 )
AdamW, You are correct. I could get to the text terminals and login with either kernel. -Mike 304.638.8909 This plant powered email is RFC 1925 compliant. Re: unable to install fed30 beta-1.7 on dell precision 5530 (problem with kernel-5.03 )
Had the same thing happen on my Lenovo W530 on F29. Issue is there regardless of kernel (4.20 or 5.0.3) I created bug 1692817, I found 2 work arounds so far. 1) switch from gdm to sddm or another dm 2) or remove rhgb from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX Upon further testing this morning appears like reintroduction of 1643302 issue -Mike 304.638.8909 This plant powered email is RFC 1925 compliant. Hi Robert, I Saw the same thing as well in every one of my F29 environments, however it seems to be a script issue, if you rerun the upgrade, the problem for me didn’t reappear. -Mike 304.638.8909 This plant powered email is RFC 1925 compliant.
