There are a lot of different kinds you can get I have some that look like
teracota at each down spout. They hold 65 gallons and work fine they have
hose adapters that come with them. I also have a rain water collection
system with two 2,500 gallon tanks that worked well throughout the drought.
A quarter inch of rain and you are good, provided you are harvesting from a
large roof. Terry Raines is somewhat of an expert on these systems and has
all the knowledge and actually all the stuff you need to set your self up,
filters etc.
