The link below is a head-lamp that I just saw at an Academy Store.

I would call it a good caving lamp for small kids.

The headpiece part is rugged, but the plastic hinge is possibly eventually
going to need to be epoxied in your favorite position.

It only has a spotlight beam, but seemed suitable for walking size passage.

This is probably more suited as a good hiking light.

If you find one on sale, then it is probably a good deal.

If an adult wants to use it as an auxilary side-mounted light, that might
work well with a little gerry-rigging.
