Hey All, LOL. OK, since our meeting notes went out to the entire listserv I am sending this to both the Texas and GHG listserv. I want to make a couple of clarifications. In in regards to rappelling safety. Someone in the meeting asked about fall arrest systems. I know nothing about the Petzl Fall Arrest system other than it exists. So please do not take the meeting notes as a recommendation. Also using a prusik as a fall arrest system was also just part of a general conversation of SRT and safety and the use as a fall arrest system is a bit out of context. Though it could be used as an effective auto stop under the right conditions and when used correctly. Anyway, I do not I want to start a technical SRT dork out discussion on the listserv today LOL but I’m always willing to have one off listserv. Hope to see everyone this weekend!
