Re: [Therion] How to render very big cave with centerline and LROU only?

2017-03-18 Thread Benedikt Hallinger via Therion

Hello Martin,
thank you very much, again,

however i cannot reproduce the issue right now. It seems that it vanished
even with my original problematic dataset.
The most probable error source lies in my thconfig file somewhere, and the
second most possible error source is in the dataset itself.
It seems, that i made an error somewhere, maybe some partially data already
included but forgotten to comment out.

Thank you very much for all your help.
If the problem occurs again, i will contact you for a teamviewer session
(maybe i can also beg permission to share the dataset then - sorry that this
is an issue, but our Katasterwart is a little tight on such things).

With best regards!

Hello again,
i now stripped my cave data from all scrap imports. Only centerline

The result is now, that the export with only "MyCave" selected
magically works, so the problem has to be somewhere in my scraps and NOT
in therion itself.

I think i need to dig into this deeper, but regarding the mailing list,
this issue can be considered done.

Thank you everybody for help, private and public!

The error occurs with the map defined in compilerfile as:

It does NOT occur if i specifiy every sublevel explicitely

This seems to be a usable workaround. It would be interesting what

[Therion] How to render very big cave with centerline and LROU only?

2017-03-09 Thread Benedikt Hallinger via Therion

Hello,
i try to generate a PDF with the whole cave rendered with LRUD centerline
data only.
The goal here is to generate a complete picture of the cave (>100km) with
walls generated from LROU data, because i still have very few scraps at this
time.

However therion aborts with an error.
How can i render a complex and big system into such a map?
Currently there are only a few scraps in the data and yet i get problems, it
seems... is an atlas project with caves this big not possible?

For the compile, i generated a map in the compiler file, that selects the
centerline only:

source
  map onlyCenterline -projection plan
#Zubringer@Hirlatzhoehle # <- this renders fine
Hirlatzhoehle
  endmap
endsource

And the following layout:
layout LROU
  colour map-fg [100 0 0]
  symbol-show group centerline
  scale 1 5000
endlayout

However, when i try to compile it, i get the following error:
