You can specify in therion.ini with: loop-closure therion or: loop-closure survex "By default, survex is used if present, otherwise therion." > is it better to install survex and using survex loop closure algorithm > or not? While I'm probably biased, the fact that the default is to use survex if it's installed indicates that therion's authors think it's the better choice. There's also a third way (which is what I do), which is have your data in .svx format, and just point therion at an already-processed .3d file with "import example.3d": https://therion.speleo.sk/samples.doc/40.html Cheers, Olly ___ Therion mailing list Therion@speleo.sk https://mailman.speleo.sk/listinfo/therion

Thanks wookey, is it better to install survex and using survex loop closure algorithm or not? The survex process is mostly documented here (in some very old docs, but nothing much has changed in the core algorithm): http://csg.bcra.org.uk/surveynotes.html More details on how instument standard deviations are specified and used is given in the survex manual. [Therion] Loop closure algorithms
Hi, what is loop closure algorithm(s) used in therion core? Can some body explain an algorithm for me?If these are more than one algorithms used in therion, how can i choose and change default loop closure algorithm? Thanks, Saeid. ___ Therion mailing list Therion@speleo.sk https://mailman.speleo.sk/listinfo/therion
