Read originel files data from other file.

2010-07-23 Thread Raamklaza
Is it possible to make a new file (let's say index.html) where i can
show stuff in another way?

Like mobile friendly.

So i got two files, one index.html and one orginel from mgsd

The index.html could be able to get date out of the originel file.

Is this remotly possible?

I want to make a simple page for review and view actions and maybe add
action for mobile devices. I do want to use the originel file for the
data, but i do not want to change it (compatibilty).

2010-07-23 Thread Raamklaza
I followed these instructions: http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/MGSD/Updating

I get the error: Error getting list of tiddlers, click Cancel to try

Is there a way to resolve this?

Re: Great software but its missing scheduling features

2010-07-23 Thread ike9898
mGSD is designed to help you implement the Getting Things Done (GTD)
system in managing your workflow. GTD de-emphasizes scheduling. Only
things that are fixed in time are put on a calendar. I personally
prefer that mGSD stick to its original intent in this respect. There
are probably better tools available for a schedule-dependent approach
to managing workflow.

Unlucky an Action does not look to be scheduled and scheduling is so
 important for me.
Is it planned for future releases?

[tw] Re: Program so to open TiddlyWiki without a web browser?

2010-07-23 Thread chiuta
I think that a versatile HTML compiler (html to exe) which creates
stand-alone and secure desktop EXE applications or software from
websites may be the solution you are looking for.

A very good software of this kind can be found at www.htmlexe.com and
the trial edition of HTML Executable has no time limit and it is a
full-featured release.

Best regards,

Re: [tw] Announcing: readCount plugin, for knowing how much of a TW you've read

2010-07-23 Thread FND

I've always found it tricky to know how big a TiddlyWiki is and how
much of it I've consumed.

Indeed, the curse of hypertext...

I've just written a plugin that aims to help with this - it shows you
how much of the current document you have read and provides links to
both the read and unread tiddlers.

This is very neat - I can very well imagine myself using this on a
regular basis.

...
Which reveals a bit of an issue: This relies on the document author to
include your plugin. Would it be possible to turn this into a
bookmarklet, thus giving the reader the choice?

The source is here:
http://jrlplugins.tiddlyspace.com/readCountPlugin

FWIW, if you set that's tiddler's server.content-type field to
text/javascript, it will appear as raw source - example:

http://jrlplugins.tiddlyspace.com/TiddlyWebConfig
http://jrlplugins.tiddlyspace.com/TiddlyWebConfig.txt

This might also help with dynamic loading via a bookmarklet.

[tw] Main menu tiddlers don't save.

2010-07-23 Thread Vermifax
I'm running IE7 Tiddlywiki 2.6

When I update the MainMenu tiddler with a new tiddler say [[ test ]]
and then create test and edit something into it and then save and exit
here is what I get.

The MainMenu tiddler is updated. However if I click on the test
tiddler I get the generic The tiddler ' test ' doesn't yet exist.
Double-click to create it

If I double click and try to update it it prompts me with A tiddler
named 'test' already exists Choose OK to overwrite it if I select ok
and update it and save and exit I'm back in the same situation.

If I search for test it shows me the test tiddler even though clicking
on the main menu gives me the doesn't yet exist message.

Anyone seen this ?

[tw] Re: Main menu tiddlers don't save.

2010-07-23 Thread Eric Shulman
When I update the MainMenu tiddler with a new tiddler  say [[ test ]]
and then create test and edit something into it and then save and exit
 here is what I get.

Cause: whitespace matters in tiddler links!
Solution: remove the leading/trailing spaces from within the [[...]].

Here's what's happening:

1) When you click [[ test ]] in MainMenu, TiddlyWiki looks for a
tiddler named test (with leading/trailing spaces).

2) A non-existent tiddler named test (with spaces) is displayed.
Because it doesn't exist yet, you get the ... double-click to create
it... default text.

3) You invoke edit on test , and enter content. Note that the
title field input *includes* the leading/trailing spaces in the
tiddler name.

4) You press done. The core handler reads the title field input,
and ** trims off any leading/trailing whitespace ** before creating
the tiddler.

5) You now have a tiddler named [[test]] (no spaces!) that contains
the content you input.

6) The MainMenu still has a link to [[ test ]] (with spaces!)... thus,
*that* LINK is still pointing at the non-existent tiddler.

Q.E.D.

enjoy,
