 I tend to think of mGSD as what you put things in once they are taken from
 your inbox and processed. Ie, mGSD is your trusted system and your inbox is,
 well, your inbox, whatever that may be.

Simon, I agree with you. But think I understand what Mat said.
In fact it would be nice if we could use mGSD to to a collect
phase too (and not only the process and so on). Maybe an
special tiddler in which we could put all of our stuff so we can
ask ourselves What's it? for each item and processing it.

The quick add feature it's not exactly like this. Maybe an
Inbox tiddler with a feature in which we can process each
line generating the effective itens (calendar, action, process,
and so on).

Cheers.

[tw] startup problems with tiddler macro output

2010-09-18 Thread Tobias Beer
Hi everyone, esp. core literates like Eric, FND, etc...

I am having problems with the tiddler macro on startup in that the
output does not render correctly.

Only when the tiddler is closed and reopened the tiddler macro output
is properly rendered.

As an example, see the section 'Source code' in the Welcome tiddler
here...
http://topicsbydate.tiddlyspot.com

The same happens for the transclusion TopicsByDate when put into the
default tiddlers ...look below the Welcome tiddler.

Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?

One thing to notice... when - on startup - the transclusion is being
transcluded instead of shown directly ...it works properly!?! So there
is this work-around of creating an extra tiddler and then transcluding
it... but well, I was hoping to get it right to begin with.

Everything that you want to be public needs to be published.

 Besides this problem can anybody please shed light on which tiddlers
 are to be made public and which not? For example do the plugins need
 to be made public? How about other system tiddlers like MainMenu,
 Stylesheets etc.
Also stylesheets that you changed need to be published. take care
about excludeLists ! It's easy to forget them.

 If a tiddler is public can it transclude a private tiddler and work as
 desired?
no. public has no access to private.

 Is there also a way to have 2 themes? One when logged into the space

jup. But I think it makes things more complecated. On the other hand
you could use themes. and zzConfig which activates the theme. public
zzConfig can be different to private eg: zzzConfig which will be
executed after zzConfig and overwrite it.

[tw] Re: Who has good TW taste?

2010-09-18 Thread Tobias Beer
 Hey guys! lets make a list of links of all these packaged TWs and put
 them up at tiddlyspot. Lest we miss any.

Please consider a TiddlySpace for that purpose... which I know to be
twgrps intention :o)

That way we can (all) be members and thus editors of the same space
and it's most valuable information!

TiddlyWiki.org and maybe TiddlyWiki.com should then point to that
TiddlySpace.

To begin with, I would think it made sense if a space were created,
users invited, member tiddler created and a BrainStorming tiddler for
individual users to have their ideas or general topics tagging to it.
That way we can get started taking our own notes and eventually
lumping the lot together into a ShowRoom TiddlySpace.

Well, what the heck, I just created a new TiddlySpace which may
provide just that...

Have a look at http://showroom.tiddlyspace.com

Right now, this is just a quickshot, feel free to join in. By the way,
what is the best way for new members to subscribe? Please note that
pretty much everything from the space name, its design to (above all)
it's contents is up for discussion and collaborative emergence.

I am highly curious as to whether or not such a collaborative effort
turns out fruitfull.

when the SideBartabs div is visible.
The tiddlerDisplay is rendered fullscreen - all the time if I set it

[tw] Re: MPTW how to get search box in subtitle on the right

2010-09-18 Thread Tobias Beer
Just to make sure, when you want the StyleSheet tiddler to display
nicely, you have to enclose it in...

/*{{{*/
.myClass{color:red;}
/*}}}*/

Enclosing it only with...
{{{
.myClass{color:red;}
}}}

...will invalidate the whole StyleSheet!

But what's more important ...you are using the theme from MPTW.
Therefore, you must change the section PageTemplate in MptwTheme
instead of the tiddler PageTemplate. Also note that you need to set
the z-index for the #search div in your StyleSheet, so that it wont be
behind the header...

#search {z-index:100;}

[tw] Re: Tiddlyspace SidebarOptions changes not reflected when logged out

2010-09-18 Thread colmjude

 Is there also a way to have 2 themes? One when logged into the space
 and one when logged out?

This is something I have been experimenting with recently and I now
have a different theme for anyone who isn't a member of my space.
You can have a look at it at http://colmbritton.tiddlyspace.com

You'll notice it looks different to most spaces, however when I visit
it and am logged in it has the generic theme so that I can make edits
easily.
To do this you just need to use this code

(function($){
if(readOnly) {
config.options.txtTheme = SampleTheme;
}
})(jQuery);
Where SampleTheme is the name of your theme. (Do you know about
tiddlywiki systemThemes?)

Alternatively, if you want to change the theme for anyone logged into
tiddlyspace you can use code similar to this
(function($){
if(config.options.txtUserName  config.options.txtUserName !=
GUEST ) {
config.options.txtTheme = LoggedInTheme;
}
})(jQuery);
Where LoggedInTheme is the name of the theme you want logged in
people to see

Hope that helps

2010-09-18 Thread passingby
Thank you guys. I shall have a relook at my space later some time to
see what is wrong. Sometimes the problem is solved faster after we
have been away from it for a while. And Colm thanks for your great
tip. I shall try it out too.
Thanks.

  Is there also a way to have 2 themes? One when logged into the space
  and one when logged out?

 This is something I have been experimenting with recently and I now
 have a different theme for anyone who isn't a member of my space.
 You can have a look at it athttp://colmbritton.tiddlyspace.com

 You'll notice it looks different to most spaces, however when I visit
 it and am logged in it has the generic theme so that I can make edits
 easily.
 To do this you just need to use this code

 (function($){
         if(readOnly) {
                 config.options.txtTheme = SampleTheme;
         }})(jQuery);

 Where SampleTheme is the name of your theme. (Do you know about
 tiddlywiki systemThemes?)

 Alternatively, if you want to change the theme for anyone logged into
 tiddlyspace you can use code similar to this
 (function($){
         if(config.options.txtUserName  config.options.txtUserName !=
 GUEST ) {
                 config.options.txtTheme = LoggedInTheme;
         }})(jQuery);

 Where LoggedInTheme is the name of the theme you want logged in
 people to see

 Hope that helps

 Colm

[tw] disappearing sidebar tabs

2010-09-18 Thread Shankar

Hello,

I noticed that when I open my TiddlyWiki file in another browser,
sporadically, the tabs in the sidebar just don't show up!

All browsers involved are FireFox. Normally I run FireFox from my USB
drive and it works consistently fine. Sometimes I run on machines
which are 32-bit systems and at such times, I can't run the browser in
my USB drive. So I have rely on what the system gives. They are
always FireFox (likely different versions) and I start running into
this issue.

It works fine when I open it from a browser on my machine. Is it
related to some cookie being set/not set?

When it decides to not show up, how do I make it appear - is there a
macro that I can execute to make it appear?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers; 'best,

shankar

[tw] Re: Changing size of buttons för TW-Notes (Blu e)

Hi Tobbe

twt-notes ( http://twt-notes.tiddlyspot.com ) has Eric Shulmans'
StyleSheetShortcuts installed and embedded in the stylesheettiddler
( http://www.tiddlytools.com/#StyleSheetShortcuts)
Therefore You can use the predefined classes small tiny normal
big etc
Try out:
{{small{siteMap [[Instructions]] . sliders}}}

Hope this helps.

[tw] TagSearchPlugin feature request (2)

2010-09-18 Thread PMario
Hi,
TagSearchPlugin did a great job at my spaces allready. Thx.

But now I want the following behaviour. I don't know if it is possible
allready.

I want to toggle between two tags (show/hide) which can be done with
mode:0 parameter.

The popup shows:
Add tag ... show/hide,Options.
[inputbox]

current tags,
[x] show
=
What I want:

current tags,  show/hide
[x] show[ ] hide

Is there a possibility to disable the input box and the Options, to
get a minimum interface?

kind regards
mario

[tw] Re: Interesting Todo app

2010-09-18 Thread Måns
Hi Tiziano

 Don't know how it works this nice thing, but I made a tiddler similar in
 concept:
 http://tiziano.tiddlyspot.com/#ToDoTiddler
 it's essential in his structure, suggestions are welcome.
I like your plugin *very* much!! When you input just a tiddlertitle
for url - you'll get a list of tiddlers to read in the same TW-
document!! Awesome!

I would like to be able to open the ToDo tiddler from another place in
the Tw - ie the top/main or sidebar menu - It isn't possible at the
moment - could this be accomplished?
I'd really like the add slider to close when I click add - is this
also doable?
Anyway - it's working well as it is :-)
Thanks for sharing - it's very usefull indeed!

Cheers Måns Mårtensson

  Anyway, why did you use right align in the tiddler column?

 No particular reason. Personal preference and a splash of wanting to
 make you wonder, perhaps. Nah, kidding. :o)

 It's always good to know how that these things can be changed easily.
 In fact, you could turn the whole thing into a quite differently
 looking list, by changing...

 dtFmt='0DD.MMM',
 headerFmt='!Recent topics',
 itemFmt=\n* [[%0]] (%1, commentsCount %0\ comments),

 See here under Options...http://topicsbydate.tiddlyspot.com

 Cheers, Tobias.

This happens because you have the HTMLFormattingPlugin from tiddlytools
installed, I suppose.

Certainly, but it's not so easy. I'll think about that.

Done, this was trivial.

It seems that the buttons are located in the
NestedSlidersPlugin(withGiffmexTweak)
var closedtext=  ►; var closedtip=;
var openedtext=►; var openedtip=;

Maybe you can change the arrows to some smaller arrows?
I don't know where to find a smaller: ► ...
