One way you could go about it is to assign code like the following to the action of checking the box: var tid = store.fetchTiddler('your tiddler title'); tid.modified = new Date(); store.saveTiddler(tid.title, tid.title, tid.text, tid.creator, tid.modified, tid.tags, tid.fields); This fetches the tiddler object from the tiddlywiki store, changes the modified date to the current date and time and then saves it. well its a fact that has been discussed earlier too, that documentation is lacking int the tiddlywiki world. And that there no one water hole. Just as an example case, yesterday, one of my friend shared with me that he needed help with doing things 'computer' way at the office. After a short discussion with him about his needs I started helping him with 3 things 1.MS Excel 2. MS Visio or Dia(open source) 3. TiddlywikiGTD Now to teach tiddlywiki. There is no well-tread, cutout path. Plus there are three separate sites to go for help. 1. Tiddlywiki.com 2. Tiddlywiki.org 3 Google group And then the GTD. There are three to my knowledge (I am sure there must be more): D3, MGSD, and recent one tbGTD and all three are lying in separate unlinked places. Hi twgrp Here's the attempt, so far, and your input is very needed: http://tiddlyworld.tiddlyspace.com/ Good job - lots of things to think about!! please be sure to read the Case Study in the welcoming tiddler. I am also digging MyBB's possibilities http://maans.bplaced.net/forum/ and phpBB http://maans.bplaced.net/Forum/ - which is more mature and has a looot of options regarding plugins and themes... However I think we'll need a magic script which can import all posts from the Google TWforums - and sort them in ways I can't even begin to imagine :-) ... I wouldn't be satisfied to start from scratch in a MyBB forum.. So, now that you've seen it and know what it is about - and why; What needs to be done? Suggestions for a better name? What's crucial to make it work? How we engage people? I think TiddlySpace is providing exactly what TwEnthusiasts need as a framework to develop meaningfull and clear paths in the TiddlyVerse, through collaboration and individual statements - tiddlyworld beeing an attempt to do both, showroom is another way (maybe a little more TWspace-centric?) ... What often fascinates me about TiddlyWiki is the fact that many different people with very different usercases share their knowledge and knowhow and the results are beautiful yet the tools and their contruction often mindboggling - and sometimes very simple. Just as diverse as the personalities involved :-) In a forseeable future I believe TiddlySpace can accommodate most of the things MyBB and phpBB can -but better - and at the same time *BE* the TiddlyVerse for those who want to participate and contribute. However I think centralization and control are two phenomenons shunned by many TwEnthusiasts - and the personal copy - offline or online (private webhost or on TiddlySpot) is the other (necessary) side of the coin... TiddlySpace might teach us to *publish* material when it's ready and deliver the collaborative tools needed to discover what has been published by others, that we might need... Please state your tiddlyspace username here so I can include you as a member. I'm not sure how I can contribute directly - however you are welcome to add me as a member to tiddlyworld. [tw] Re: Script to add or remove a tag from a Tiddler
Thanks a lot, Mans, this script works great. However I can't seem to get it working with the TestCheckBoxes plugin. When I try to use them together like this: [_{}{}{ var tag=Complete; var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(tag); store.suspendNotifications(); for (var i=0; itids.length; i++) {var t=tids[i]; store.setTiddlerTag(t.title,false,tag); store.saveTiddler(t.title,t.title,t.text,t.modifier,t.modified,t.tags,t.fields);} }] I get broken output. However after some experimenting I found out that if I remove the bracket signs from the for loop like so: [_{}{}{ var tag=Complete; var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(tag); store.suspendNotifications(); for (var i=0; itids.length; i++) var t=tids[i]; store.setTiddlerTag(t.title,false,tag); store.saveTiddler(t.title,t.title,t.text,t.modifier,t.modified,t.tags,t.fields); }] the checkbox will work properly, but will only run through the loop once (obviously as the brackets are removed). So in other words the presence of the two brackets is incompatible with the checkbox plugin. Would you have any ideas on a workaround to this problem? When I try to use them together like this: [_{}{}{ var tag=Complete; var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(tag); store.suspendNotifications(); for (var i=0; itids.length; i++) {var t=tids[i]; store.setTiddlerTag(t.title,false,tag); store.saveTiddler(t.title,t.title,t.text,t.modifier,t.modified,t.tags,t.fields);} }] I get broken output. However after some experimenting I found out that if I remove the bracket signs from the for loop like so: [_{}{}{ var tag=Complete; var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(tag); store.suspendNotifications(); for (var i=0; itids.length; i++) var t=tids[i]; store.setTiddlerTag(t.title,false,tag); store.saveTiddler(t.title,t.title,t.text,t.modifier,t.modified,t.tags,t.fields);}] the checkbox will work properly, but will only run through the loop once (obviously as the brackets are removed). So in other words the presence of the two brackets is incompatible with the checkbox plugin. Would you have any ideas on a workaround to this problem? I'm using the ForEachTiddler plugin and I want it to Remove a tag from all tiddlers matching certain criteria. I'm not sure what You mean by matching certain criteria - however there are several ways to remove a tag from several tiddlers at once. #1 RenametagsPluginhttp://mptw.tiddlyspot.com/#RenameTagsPlugin-If you delete the tagname tiddler you will be asked if You want to remove the tag from all tiddlers tagged with the tagname. #2 You can use a script to remove a tag from all tiddlers tagged with that tag: script label=Remove the tag SomeTagName from all tiddlers tagged with SomeTagName var tag=SomeTagName; var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(tag); store.suspendNotifications(); for (var i=0; itids.length; i++) { var t=tids[i]; store.setTiddlerTag(t.title,false,tag); store.saveTiddler (t.title,t.title,t.text,t.modifier,t.modified,t.tags,t.fields);} store.resumeNotifications(); /script #3 I'm sure someone with magic insight (javascript programming) can deliver a script which can choose all tiddlers tagged with SomeTagName and remove AnotherTagName from all tiddlers tagged with SomeTagName - however I'm no TwWizard... just TwSorcerer's apprentice ;-) Regards Måns Mårtensson -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] TiddlyThemes
Hello there! Please excuse my ignorance, I have been trying to use Flickr's theme, but I see that it does not provide the Close Edit, and More buttons on a Tiddly. I edited its Style sheet and copied all the blackcity theme, and the icons appeared, therefore it must be a wrong setting in the style sheet. Could you let me know where could I start looking for in the style sheet for this trouble? I spent an hour playing around but with no results. Thank you so much!! You are right! Wow, i wonder how nobody noticed this earlier. Anyways here is the solution. in the timeline or in shadowTiddlers tab click and open the StyleSheet Tiddler. Double click on the StyleSheet tiddler to go into Edit mode. Somewhere in the tiddler you will find this: .toolbar { font-weight: normal; font-size: 11px; visibility: hidden; text-align: right; padding: 0 0 5px 0; margin: 0; } Change the visibility: hidden to visibility:show Press ctrl+enter to go into tiddler's View Mode. Click 'Save Changes' in the sidebar above. Reload your tiddlywiki. You are done. On Sep 20, 6:00 am, Luis, lsmanri...@gmail.com wrote: Hello there!
