Open SideBarOptions
saveChanges

Backups are set in the Options slider. SaveBackups. Have a look in
AdvancedOptions for where to put the backups.

Now from your earlier questions in this group, I imagine you are asking
because of your troubles with your tiddlyhome?
Then you must have a look at Uploadplugin, TddlyHomeUpload and
SaveToTiddlyHome etc.

Mind you I have no experience setting up or using tiddlyhome apart from
trying out another persons Tiddlyhome.

 Hello TW Folks.
 I would like to either make add a button to the backstage and/or

 I would like to save as normal locally with the backup when it is
 clicked, and I wish to add another step= to also have it open a URL of
 my choosing in a new browser window or tab (I only use Firefox).

 If this is possible, will someone guide me on how to make or change

 Thank You for any help.

Re: [tw] Re: TW5 on IOS via TWEdit

Aha - there it is:

Download Offline Snapshot

There are many levels to my ignorance.

Thanks, Xavier. Works perfectly on TWEdit now. So if I want to use slides
on my computer for display I can still have notes on my iPad. All I need
to do is update the offline snapshot before each lecture.

The only remaining piece of the puzzle is to get a slide template for
TW5, so that I could avoid having to use presentation software.

 Hi Andrew,

 A download button to retrieve a snapshot of a server instance actually
 exists, although it does not overload the regular download button, as one
 might expect. It is hidden in the server tab that is created in the
 ControlPanel when running the node.js version.

 By the way, it may be worth noting that while the html file you get with
 the normal download button is not directly usable, you still can drag and
 drop it on a running wiki in order to retrieve saved tiddlers. I was glad I
 could do that after my server got stuck and no sync was possible.

 Best,
 Xavier.

/* COLOR OF TIDDLER BUTTONS */

.tw-tiddler-controls button:hover svg {

In a tiddler tagged with $:/tags/stylesheet.

Up till now I did not try the Colorpalette.

You should add a custom class to your custom buttons.

Compare the classes of a standard button with yours:

tw-image-save-button tw-image-button

vs.
tw-image-button

For the save button there is a stylesheet defined:

.tw-page-controls svg.tw-image-save-button {
fill: colour toolbar-save-button;
}

Define something similar in a stylesheet tiddler like:

.tw-page-controls svg.tw-image-4X-button {
fill: colour toolbar-4X-button;
}

And then define in the palettes like $:/palettes/Blue

toolbar-4X-button: red

I hope this will do.

[tw] [TW5] - Change theme according logged user

2014-03-20 Thread Gustavo Martins
Hi all!

I'm testing the TW5 to be embedded in an application I'm developing (Apache
FLEX) as IFrame, and I'm thinking a way to toggle the appearance depending
on the user logged into the system (login is done in PHP and mySQL
database). .

I thought of something that makes a comparison between a field recorded
section (if (! Isset ($ _SESSION ['usuarioID']))) and the content of the
tiddler $:/status/UserName.

If they match it switches to the Snow White for example, if they are
different it gets in readonly!

Where could I create this comparison? as Macro? Plugin?
Someone with knowledge in the area could give me an idea?

Thanks!

Re: [tw] [TW5] - Change theme according logged user

2014-03-20 Thread Jeremy Ruston
Hi Gustavo

Assuming the TW5 file is being served from the same domain as the wrapper
HTML file, you should be able to handle it very simply by reaching into the
iframe and setting the theme by setting the $:/theme tiddler. Something
like this:

var hostIframe = newWindow.window.document.getElementById(myIFrame);
hostIframe.src = myTiddlyWiki.html; // Relative URL of tiddlywiki file
hostIframe.addEventListener(load,function(event) {
var $tw = hostIframe.contentWindow.$tw;
$tw.wiki.addTiddler(new $tw.Tiddler({
title: $:/theme,
text: $:/themes/tiddlywiki/snowwhite
}));
});

Best wishes

Jeremy.

 like text.split(\n). and this worked fine for many months.

 Recently things started failing, and when I checked the code had changed
 to .split(n)...I corrected the code.everything works
 fine...untill I reload the page and again the \ is missing - note that
 the correction was saved back tot he TW using UploadPlugin and
 UploadTiddlerPlugin.

 Why does the \ character keep disappearing?

 I have downloaded the file, corrected it with Note+++ and uplaoded
 again.it all works well, until I open that tiddler in edit, and then
 restore (done)the \ gets dropped again!!!

 To make things worse... recently a functioning TW started failing and on
 opening saying that some plugins failed... for example on checking a recent
 case. Erics InlineJavascriptPlugin...reported as having failed...when I
 checked it.. the line (early in the code)
 match: \\script,
 ...was reading in my TW
 match: \script,... note that again a \ has
 disappeared I put the extra \ back into the code, saved via
 UploadPluginand on reopening the TW the plugin failed because the
 second \ is again missing.

 So, what up with the character \. why is it being deleted when I
 save the TW?

 Thanks in Advance
 Skye

[tw] Re: TW quick change stylesheets

2014-03-20 Thread skye riquelme
Sorry Guys...I am obviously missing something very basic, cos I cant get it
to work.

firstly ..I understood from Erics response that I dont need the
SwitchThemePlugin installed, I can do it with javascript...right?

in that case.I have a tiddler named setSmallMenuwhich contains
the code -
/***
|Name|setSmallMenu|
|StyleSheet|setSmallMenu|
***/
[[StyleSheet]]
/*{{{*/
#wideMenu {visibility:hidden;}
#leftMenu {visibility:hidden;}
#rightMenu {visibility:hidden;}
#smallMenu {visibility:visible;}
#bottomMenu {visibility:hidden;}
#displayArea {width:1000px;left:50px;}
/*}}}*/
...and is tagged systemTheme..and I have a tiddler called ZZZ, tagged
systemConfig, which reads
//{{{
config.options.txtTheme = 'setSmallTheme';
//}}}...

but on reloading the TW...no theme coding, no CSS just icons and text on a
blanck (white) page (my page is colored)...

I am sure it something real obviousto you guys...

setSmallMenu vs. setSmallTheme ???
(the option value has to match the tiddler title of the theme)

 I agree, setting up hosting is a pain. Simon and I (we're the tiddlyspot

 so demand for it will go down to nothing soon.

 I think tiddlyspot is very useful with TW5. Most of the Community
 experiments listed at tiddlywiki.com are tiddlyspt driven.
 see: http://tiddlywiki.com/static/Community.html

 And TW5 supports it out of the box (kind of).

I'm imagining that having save-a-tiddler serversides properly supported in
the TW core will mean save-a-whole-wiki serversides, like current
tiddlyspot, will become less important. Possibly there's a future
tiddlyspot service for modern tiddler-at-a-time saves in a form that's
simple to setup and manage.

Nevertheless although I'm just one of the people who make tiddlyspot go,
I'm happy to keep classic tiddlyspot up as long as people want it -- as a
free, unsponsored service we're powered by love for TW and people's
generosity. We sometimes get enough donations in a year to cover annual
hosting costs :)

Cheers
