The attachments problem have been fixed on this branch of the project:

If you are able to test the plugin using that branch before I merge it to

I'll continue playing and only add to say that this is a great

Please don't hesitate to continue commenting. Your feedback is very

Re: [tw] Re: [Hype] Multiple wiki sync thanks to couchdb

2015-05-24 Thread Danielo Rodríguez
Hello Jean,

I have opened this ticket on GitHub to discuss the problem with several
instances running at the same time. This particular tickets is about
deletions sync.

https://github.com/wshallum/couchadaptor/issues/15

If anyone has an idea about how to handle this, I'm very pleased to hear
about it. Here is the ticket text:

When you have two wikis that syncs to the same couchdb newly created
tiddlers are correctly synced between two, but deletions does not.

I don't know how to understand this as a feature or as a problem. There is
only one scenario where I'm totally sure this is a problem: in Draft
management. Drafts are temporal by definition and once you have finished
edditing you don't want that draft anymore, and of course you don't want a
draft to be kept on several instances of TW.

 To reproduce the Draft problem:

- Open a tiddlywiki that syncs to a couchdb in two different computers
or two different tabs.
- Edit a tiddler or create a new tiddler and leave it in draft mode
long enough to be synced
- Wait in the other instance of the wiki to the next skinny tiddlers
fetch
- Draft appears on recent tab, absolutely empty unless you open it.
- Finish editing on the first wiki. Draft is deleted from DB
- Open the draft on the second instance. You have an empty draft, this
can cause confusion because you also have the normal tiddler.
- Try to finish editing on the second instance with the empty draft
and you will get an error because that document does not exist on the
database anymore

I'm not sure how to address this problem. Avoid draft synchronization
should not be an option, because I strongly thing that drafts should be
 synced.

[tw] Re: [TW5] New community site: TWaddle.tiddlyspot.com

2015-05-24 Thread Jed Carty
I like your site, but it does seem like something that would greatly
benefit from allowing userfeedback since you ask a lot of questions. You
have done a much better job when it comes to organization and usability
than I have with anything I made.

For a bookmarks manager, here
http://ooktech.com/jed/externalbrain/#Bookmarks is what I currently have.
I am sure there are ways to improve it. Some way to improve the tag search
would be nice. You can select multiple tags using the select widgets and
only the bookmarks that match all of the tags will appear on the list, but
I think there should be a better way to select the tags.

For the cred section Rich Shumaker had some ideas about that
http://www.richshumaker.com/tw5/TiddlyWiki-Hangouts.html#Rich%20Shumaker.
I used a slight variation on my site
http://ooktech.com/jed/externalbrain/#people. The problems we ran into is
that you either need to get the person to create their own or stalk them
enough to get the information. So the idea hasn't gone very far.

Hopefully I will have time later to look at what you have more closely.

[tw] [TW5] Turn linkification off by default?

2015-05-24 Thread Edward Bassett
Hi, all.
I have been using TWC for several years now, and consider it a fine piece
of software - kudos to Jeremy and all contributors.
I am now evaluating TW5, and it looks even more impressive, a feat of
design.
Anyway, I have a few questions, which I will submit in separate threads in
order to keep the discussion followable.

Question 3:
Is there any way in TW5 to make camel-case text NOT linkified by default?
I tend to use camel-case way more than I create new tiddlers in-line.
So I would *much* rather have to explicitly add double-square-brackets when
I do want a link than have to go back and litter my text with '~' when I
see that stuff has been linkified.

Thanks,
-Edward

Hi Edward,

 Question 2:
With TWC, I have been using
 http://devpad.tiddlyspot.com/#DcTableOfContentsPlugin
which provides a showtoc macro that shows the structure of headers of
different levels *within* a single tiddler, nicely nested as appropriate,
and clickable to jump to the desired section.
Is there a way to get equivalent functionality in TW5?

There's no plugin like this and there isn't a mechanism to jump to a
heading.
TW considers tiddlers to be as short as possible. The goal is, to make
single tiddlers more composeable. But this is on the todo list atm.

But you can have a look at the TOC macros. see:
http://tiddlywiki.com/#Table-of-Contents%20Macros
There are a lot of new possibilities, that imo are worth exploring.

I tried copy/pasting the javascript content into a new tiddler, tagging it
with $:/tags/Macros, and adding showtoc to another tiddler with a few
headers, but that didn't do anything.
 Suggestions?

TWclassic macros are not compatible with TW plugins or macros. .. As you
found out, the mechanism is completely different. So this will never work,
by design.

have fun!

Hi,

Is it possible to use the Highlight plugin to highlight the contents of
tiddlers of custom types?

For example, I've created the new `application/java` tiddler type and
managed to get it recognized by CodeMirror (using tiddler with
`$:/config/EditorTypeMappings/` prefix). But Highlight plugin doesn't
highlight content of tiddlers of this custom type (although it highlights
`application/javascript`, `application/json`, `text/plain` and some other
default tiddler types).

[tw] [TW5] within-tiddler Table of Contents

2015-05-24 Thread Edward Bassett
Hi, all.
I have been using TWC for several years now, and consider it a fine piece
of software - kudos to Jeremy and all contributors.
I am now evaluating TW5, and it looks even more impressive, a feat of
design.
Anyway, I have a few questions, which I will submit in separate threads in
order to keep the discussion followable.

I tried copy/pasting the javascript content into a new tiddler, tagging it
with $:/tags/Macros, and adding showtoc to another tiddler with a few
headers, but that didn't do anything.
Suggestions?

Thanks,
-Edward

Is there any way in TW5 to make camel-case text NOT linkified by default?
I tend to use camel-case way more than I create new tiddlers in-line.
So I would *much* rather have to explicitly add double-square-brackets
when I do want a link than have to go back and litter my text with '~' when
I see that stuff has been linkified.

 Thanks,
 -Edward

[tw] [TW5] TiddlersBar StoryView plugin?

2015-05-24 Thread Danielo Rodríguez
If we omit the tabs the zoom view is the closest approach to what you have
explained. Check the tools under the more tab of the sidebar to set it up

[tw] Re: [TW5] Encrypt Tiddler Plugin: now with batch encrypt of tiddlers (Plugin Release)

2015-05-24 Thread Måns
Hi Danielo

Is it possible to white list some tiddler fields or create/maintain some
sort of a encrypted tiddler template with predefined fields and/or
additional tags?
Then it would be fairly easy to keep track of encrypted tiddlers and maybe
even be able to keep a structure with them in systems like GSD5...

Cheers Måns Mårtensson

 Hello everyone.

I just updated my first plugin ( it's been a long time since I did it):
 Encrypt Tiddler plugin.
For those that don't know what it does this plugin adds the ability to
 encrypt your tiddlers individually.
One of the new features of 2.1 version (very demanded by the community) is
the ability to encrypt several tiddlers at once. This is now possible from
 the control panel.

 Take a look at:

[tw] Re: [TW5] An alternate mindmap/toc sort of thing

2015-05-24 Thread Jed Carty
Yes, I should probably have made a demo instead of just putting up the
first thing I had once it started working. I have a much simpler example
now.

[tw] [TW5] Run Tiddlywiky wrapped in nodemon?

2015-05-24 Thread Ron Poulin
Hi,

I am trying to run tiddlywiky server in nodemon. Nodemon is a great way to
recover a failed node server using autorestart. I have been able to run my
own server in nodemon but need some help with running tiddlywiky in that
environment.

As it stands, tiddlywiki is run out of a bash shell on linux. This is a
very good method however it is oriented towards a bash environment.
Nodemon is a wrapper for nodejs and I haven't been able to figure it out as
I am still an experienced newbe with node. Has anyone done this? The part
that escapes me is passing the parameters into nodemon and establishing the
correct environment variables needed by the tiddlywiki server.

This may not be a possible way of running the tiddlywiky server but I
thought I should ask if anyone had an experience with this approach.

Ron

See nodemon site for reference: https://github.com/remy/nodemon
