[tw] Re: [TW5] Data Security/Encryption

2015-12-15 Thread Danielo Rodríguez
As far as i know, no, there is no cache.

When you boot the NODE server, the basic tiddlywiki is loaded in memory.
When you load the web page, each tiddler is requested to the server. Since
this is done through a special adapter, no regular get and post request,
there is no risk that the browser caches the results.
If your FS is encrypted, then your data should be secure, and if your
connection to the server is also encrypted (even if it is all in localhost)
there is no chance of sniffing.

[tw] Re: Struggling to Understand the Available TW5 Web Hosted Options

2015-12-15 Thread Danielo Rodríguez
There will be (hopefully after Christmas) another option.

All I can say is that it allows publishing and very very basic
collaborative capabilities based on GIT.

[tw] Re: read only tiddlymap

2015-12-15 Thread Felix Küppers
 Hi @Tobias, Hi @Atul

I think the most simplistic read-only ui would be for there to be no

What you described is very close to the default state, as Atul mentioned.
The menu entry "grab widget code" also allows you to choose a "plain
design" without header or borders. You can also deselect "show buttons" to
hide the buttons.

Just what the doctor ordered I am just beginning to grasp the depth of

Thanks Atul, much appreciated. Not everything is optimal yet and I am
always collecting thoughts for future improvement. So if you spot a bug or
have a suggestion for an improvement, don't hesitate to mention it here or
at GitHub.

Thank you Eric, this was the solution for me and your short summary was
quite informative.

[tw] Star Wars Force Awakens TiddlyWiki

2015-12-15 Thread David Gifford
Hi all,

I just want to go on record saying that for the Star Wars Force Awakens
premiere, I think Jeremy should create a TiddlyWiki that is round and rolls
around like BB-8. And a fully functioning LightSaberPlugin. And one that
makes a TIE fighter noise when you click a link and move up and down the
story river. And a missing tab that says, These aren't the tiddlers you are
looking for. I hope I am not being unrealistic in my expectations. What
Star Wars functionality would you all like to see incorporated into
TiddlyWiki?

I got my tickets for Thursday at 2pm CST. I wouldn't really qualify as a
hardcore Star Wars geek, but it does look like an awesome movie, so I am
pumped. Woo hoo! And don't worry, I won't post any spoliers here!

Dave

[tw] How do I transclude an edit window of a tiddler?

Basically, what I want to do is transclude the edit window of a tiddler
onto a tab. The image makes it easier to understand.
