[tw] Re: modifying importtiddler to not change modification date
Never mind, I got around this problem using nodejs version and load option from file which preserves modification date. Thanks. [tw] modifying importtiddler to not change modification date
Hello, What would be the simplest way to modify importtiddler so that modification date is preserved? From a previous thread, changing the modification date seems to be the intended behaviour. For my use case, where importing to a new wiki from older files, all the old dates are lost, and timeline collapses to a single date. So preserving the date seems more natural. A quick search found importvariables.js but couldn't locate the code for importtiddler. Re: [tw] [TW5] Alternative favicon (TW classic manner)
Hi all I (perhaps lazily) have a number of TW5s in the same folder. I like them all in the same folder because it's the root of my Google Drive, and they are all equally important to my day-to-day. I keep them in 'pinned' tabs in Firefox, and so the only distinguishing feature is the favicon -- so I'd love to not rely on the default /favicon.ico. Ton's answer seems to fit the bill perfectly. Just wanted to give my use case and say thanks :) Tom PS is there anything functionally inadvisable about keeping multiple TWs in the same folder? If so that solves my problem a different way because I'll have to move them ;) On Wednesday, 15 October 2014 19:36:33 UTC+1, Ton Gerner wrote: > > Hi Jeremy, > > Normally I do use the $:/favicon.ico mechanism. [tw] My cross platform TiddlyWiki solution
I decided to take some time and find a way to get Tiddlywiki on all my devices and have the ability to edit on any of them. Here is what I came up with: Devices: Apple iPad Air 2 Lenovo ThinkPad T440 running Arch Linux Motorola Moto X Pure 2015 So, I need to deal with Linux, Android and iOS. Here is what I came up with: 1. On the iPad I installed TWEdit and use it to sync my TiddlyWiki to Dropbox 2. On the desktop PC, I simply use Firefox and the TiddlyFox extension. 3. On Android, I installed Firefox for Android and the TiddlyFox extension. I also insatlled Dropsync On the iPad TWedit expects your Tiddlywiki files to reside inside your Dropbox folder under Apps/TWSync. Any TiddlyWikis you put in there will get synced to the iPad. The desktop is obviously a non-issue since you just navigate to Dropbox/Apps/TWSync and edit your Tiddlywiki. Android took 2 steps. I setup and installed Dropsync and told it to sync the folder Apps/TWSync with a folder on mt SDcard I called TiddlyWiki. You can obviously call it everything you want. I did the initial sync. I then went to into my file manager (ES File Exporer in my case), and browsed to my file. I clicked on it and chose Firefox from list of available apps. Once in Firefox, I clicked on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and went to Page. Under Page I chose Add to Home Screen and I was done. If there is a better way to do this, please feel free to share. Andy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw] Re: [tw5] Take smartphone picture directly into TiddlyWiki
On my android tablet clicking on the import button leads to the "Choose file" menu. I can select the camera, but in the camera screen the camera button is greyed out so I can't actually take the photo.
