[tw] Re: Problem HTA

2016-11-10 Thread Del Vee
Yes. I have the same problem with "empty.html" renamed to "empty.hta" on win7
and win8.

For people who don't know hta, search 'hta' in tiddlywiki.com.
I think it's the best way to use TW in an unknow PC without install third part.

2016-11-10 Thread Philippe Le Toquin
Hello,

Something strange suddenly happened.

I am using to get the current week number. Until a few minutes
ago it was all good and telling that the week number is 45

but then without any warning it now tells me we are week 46!

Add we been on a Sunday night I might accept that getting closer to
midnight it is possible that UTC is causing that issue BUT we are Thursday!

[tw] [video] How to backup TiddlySpace spaces using internet archive.org

2016-11-10 Thread PMario
Hi Folks,

I just released a short (3:40) Video, how to backup the public "bag" of
your TiddlySpace content at: Internet archive.org

There is also some short info, how to remove the "ugly" red bar on the top
of the space. So your backups still look nice :)

see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57om2vJYkbQ

have fun!

Just wanted to let you know: My footnotes macro is up and running as a

A bit complicated, but pure wikitext :)

Call it alpha, beta or proof of concept … try it and let me know what you
think. (But don’t expect timely responses, I dont have enough time for
anything at the moment.)

Cheers, Thomas

So do you have the same problem with "empty.html" renamed to "empty.hta" ??

Ok, this code here seems to do exactly what you want and is simpler.
Explain what it's not doing that you wanted in addition:

\define showSkillParent()

 <$list filter="[tag[skill-cat]]">
 <$view field="title"/>
  <>

\end

\define showParentChildren()

<$list filter="[tag]">

\end

 Good luck!

 <$list filter="[tag]">

 The main functional change was in the second list, where I used "
 [tag]" to just bring in items tagged according to the
 first (outer) list.

What kills me is that of course it is all there in the documentation. I
just can't make the connection when I read it.

Hopefully I will learn eventually.

I want to say that I am really grateful with the help I receive from this
group. Everybody is very helpful and is showing a huge amount of patience
with rookies like me.

I have been browsing the thread in order to find some answers to my
question and not once have I stumble upon a post where someone is being
rude to someone else.
You don't get many place like that anymore. Especially in the programming
world :(

So again thanks everyone

[tw] Re: Filtering a list of skills and skill categories to just the skills in the list.

I'm confused about your objectives. You mention only four tiddlers. So,
what are the contents of "jobitemskilltagsnot" ?

That's the expected behaviour. Just did a test with empty.hta and index.hta

Since I don't have your 3rd party plugins, I can't try out your code. But I
don't think your use of <$view> will work. See if this gives you a better
result for boo:

<$set name="boo" filter="[[dayNumber]getindex{$:/_ppmt/temp/selectday}]">

[tw] Variable in a template causes a Javascript Error

2016-11-10 Thread Philippe Le Toquin
Hello,

I am again probably misunderstanding something but I can't see what.

I have the following code in a tiddler to select a day of week and create a
new tiddler out of it.

\define maketitle()  $(year)$ $(week)$ $(selectedday)$

\define getnumber()  <$view tiddler="dayNumber" index=$(selectedday)$ \>

!Add to the Weekly Record schedule for week <>

Select a day :
<$select tiddler="$:/_ppmt/temp/selectday" default=<> >
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday

<$set name="week" value=<> >
<$set name="year" value=<> >
<$set name="selectedday" value={{$:/_ppmt/temp/selectday!!text}}>
<$set name="boo" value=<> >

In the tiddler it works <> but if I click on the button to create a new
day then it crashes

<$maketid  title=<> tags="dailywork" template=
"$:/_ppmt/template/Daily_Records" edit="yes">
   <$iftid tiddler=<> then="tm-edit-tiddler" else=
"tw-new-tiddler">
   <$button message="tw-if-tiddler">
 Create / Edit Selected day

The macro getnumber() is reading from a dictionnary tiddler that map the
day of the week to a numbe from 1 to 7.

the value week, year, selectedday and boo are used in a template to
populate some field. All was working well until I introduced the variable
boo to the template. At this point I get the following error

Internal JavaScript Error
> Well, this is embarrassing. It is recommended that you restart TiddlyWiki
> by refreshing your browser
> SyntaxError: JSON.parse: expected ',' or '}' after property value in
> object at line 1 column 750 of the JSON data

What confuses me is that the macro is working since I can use it in the
tiddler above and it display the correct number but in the templates it
fails :(

[tw] Re: Filtering a list of skills and skill categories to just the skills in the list.

2016-11-10 Thread leeand00
Alright, let me try this again..

So to be clear:

   - The "os" and "programming-lang" tiddlers are tagged with the
   "skill-cat" tag.
   - The "windows-7" and "sql" tiddlers are tagged with the "skill" tag.
   - The "windows-7" tiddler is tagged with the "os" tag.
   - The "sql" tiddler is tagged with the "programming-lang" tag.

So then in the meantime...I came up with something here that works
correctly, but it's too complicated:

\define showSkillParent()

 <$list filter=
"$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$+[tags[]tag[skill-cat]]+[tagging[]]+[tags[]tag[skill-cat]]"
>
 <$view field="title"/>

  <$set name="dasTitle" value={{!!title}}>
  <>

\end

\define showParentChildren()

<$list
filter="[title[$(dasTitle)$]]+[tagging[]]-$(dasJobItemSkillTagsNot)$">
   <$view field="title"/>

\end

<$vars dasJobItemSkillsTags={{!!jobitemsskilltags}} dasJobItemSkillTagsNot
={{!!jobitemskilltagsnot}} dasSkillsCompanyIsLookingFor={{!!
skillscompanyislookingforfilter}}>
<>

The only problem with it is, that I have to generate two sets of fields
with generally the same skill values in them

The first one (dasJobItemSkillsTags) is used to determine which parent
skill-categories are involved...via:

\define showSkillParent()

 <$list filter=
"$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$+[tags[]tag[skill-cat]]+[tagging[]]+[tags[]tag[skill-cat]]"
>
 <$view field="title"/>
  <$set name="dasTitle" value={{!!title}}>
  <>

\end

The second one (dasJobItemSkillTagsNot) removes any of the non-matched
skills from the list...via:

\define showParentChildren()

<$list filter="[title[$(dasTitle)$]]+[tagging[]]-$(dasJobItemSkillTagsNot)$"
>
   <$view field="title"/>

\end

but on the whole they're a list of the same skills..so it would be nice to
be able to generate them inputing just one list somehow...for example:

dasJobItemSkillTagsNot: [!title[windows-7]!title[sql]]
dasJobItemSkillsTags: [title[sql]][title[windows-7]]

by inputting something like "windows-7, sql"

Does that make more sense? I hope so.

2016-11-10 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
I don't understand what's supposed to be going on in your filters. They
seem to be complicated and I couldn't get them to work without your data.
Since I don't have access to your sample data tiddlers, I guessed at what
was needed. Here is my simplified version, which I generated with 2
tiddlers, sql & windows-7:

\define showSkillParent()
$(dasSkillsCompanyIsLookingFor)$

$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$

 <$list filter="$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$">
 <$view field="title"/>

<$list filter="[tag]">

 <$view field="title"/>

\end

The main functional change was in the second list, where I used "
[tag]" to just bring in items tagged according to the first
(outer) list.

to show up under os...and only the skills tagged with programming-lang to
show up under programming-lang for instance:

   - programming-lang
  - sql
   - os
  - windows-7

\define showSkillParent()

$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$

I think this has something to do with the nested $list's filter which
reads:
"
$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$+[tags[]tag[skill-cat]]+[tagging[]]+[tags[]tag[skill-cat]]+$(dasJobItemSkillsTags)$
"

but I'm not sure how to filter it down to JUST the skills that are in that
category.

P.S. And yes, I am aware of the TOC macro thank you.

Thank you,
Andrew J. Leer

Since 5.1.13 there’s been a new “actions” attribute that can be used on the
select widget (and the keyboard widget). It is typically used by setting it to
a macro defined in the same tiddler:

\define my-actions()
<$action-sendmessage $message=mymessage/>
<$action-setfield $tiddler=mytiddler $value=<>/>
\end

<$select tiddler="SampleReveal1" default="set1” actions=<>>
Small Blue
Medium Red

Best wishes

[tw] Re: [TW5] Select field changing multiple variables

2016-11-10 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
Since there's no documentation for how to make a theme, using your own
stylesheets may be easier. What you can do is make a selection drop-down
like this:

<$select tiddler="SampleReveal1" default="set1" >
Small Blue
Medium Red

Then you can make a stylesheet (regular tiddler tagged with
$:/tags/Stylesheet) like this:

\rules only filteredtranscludeinline transcludeinline macrodef
macrocallinline html

<$reveal type="match" state="SampleReveal1" text="set1">
.tc-tiddler-body h2 {
color: blue ;
font-size: 12px ;
}

<$reveal type="match" state="SampleReveal1" text="set2">
.tc-tiddler-body h2 {
color: red ;
font-size: 24px ;
}

I've used my own font/sizes/colors as an example, but you get the idea.

Getting back to your original question, if you were really set on changing
values inside the existing theme structure, you could do it in 2 steps. In
the first step, you select the group of styles you want from your
drop-down. A series of reveal widgets would then reveal a button. Inside
the button, you could use the action-setfield widget(s) to set as many
values as you wanted. You would then click on the button to invoke the
changes. So, 2 clicks/options from the users stand-point. The reason it
takes two steps is because you can't currently use the <$select> widget to
activate the action-setfield widget ... or at least I don't think you can.
Only the button widget can be used to send multiple messages at once.

Good luck!
Mark

I am not certain what you mean by that. Do you mean have a toc but only
show tiddlers from some subset of the full wiki? If so there isn't any way
that I am aware of to make the core toc macros do that. if I ever get
around to finishnig up the toc widget I was making there is a way to do it
but that may be a while.

Update time.

Hi Jan,
So I finally packed it to a plugin so that it can be switched using
theme-switcher. You can install it by dragging a dropping the the plugin
from https://ibnishak.github.io/ghostwriter/

New in update:

1. User can select the transparency of Pagetoolbar from Control Panel >
Appearance > Ghostwriter tab. Also from the same tab user can choose
whether to show/hide topbar, specific topbar buttons, add more topbar
buttons etc.
2. Sidebar now corressponds to Control Panel > Appearance > Theme tweaks >
Sidebar breakpoint. ie, below this value (eg:960px) sidebar will switch to
mobile behaviour, covering the full screen.
3. Several modifications has been made to the toc-ghost macro so that it is
more responsive and better adapted to smaller screens. You can see it in
action by going to the default contents tab. Do test it out in mobiles.

Thank you for all your kind words. Let me know how it worked for you guys.

Sincerely,
Riz

[tw] [TW5] Select field changing multiple variables

2016-11-10 Thread The Bo
Hello,

I'm looking for a way to build a select field (selectwidget) where I can
change the layout of the wiki.

Until now I use this code:
<$select tiddler="$:/themes/tiddlywiki/vanilla/metrics/fontsize"
default="Textsize" tag="input">

80%
90%
Textsize
110%
120%

Now I want to change more variables (e.G. storywidth, bodylineheight etc.)
but I want to use only one select field.

I haven't found a solution yet.

Regards,
The Bo
