[tw] [TW5] Set Background for Tiddler Toolbar only

2017-09-27 Thread TonyM
Folks,

Another Question - thanks in advance.

I have set a tiddler background for tiddlers with a particular tag but this
interferes with the display of the tiddler toolbar. Because there is no
background set on the toolbar.

Can someone tell me how to set "Set Background for Tiddler Toolbar only"
with CSS, or better yet tell me how I find the CSS values I would need to
override. Give a man a fishing rod?

It would be nice to place a boarder around the toolbar as well.

Thanks
Tony

[tw] Just Dreaming - click to edit at Cursor

2017-09-27 Thread TonyM
Folks,

I am working on making notes taking in class really easy, and I noticed
something I have come to accept with tiddlywiki that would be great to fix.
Perhaps its not possible but I thought I would ask.

When you have a long tiddler you are writing it is nice to save and view it
in view mode, but it is a real pain returning to somewhere in the text to
continue editing. There was a click to edit feature in TWC where clicking
in the content would allow you to edit the content, but It would be really
good if once you clicked at a point on the the tiddler it would open for
edit with the cursor placed in the text where you clicked (or Double
Clicked, Ctrl-Clicked).

I have recently created a Tag that once added to a code tiddler Displays
text un-wikified in view template at bottom of tiddlers tagged ShowCode.
The same would be good for developing if we could click into that to edit
and move the cursor. Alternatively we could have a view tiddler toolbar
item (to show text/code) un processed we could click into.

I imagine what I dream of is difficult or impossible but I think it would
make a big difference to tiddlywiki usability.

   - What do you think?
   - Any ideas how?
   - Unfortunately I do not have the skills to do this

Tony

[tw] Re: reserved words in quoted strings messes up code highlighter

2017-09-27 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
I thought it might be that the library needed to be updated. But (assuming
I did the upgrade right) it's still broken. So either there's something
wrong with the plugin, or there's something wrong with the highlight
library.

This might be a small consolation, but you could stop the run-on by putting
a comment followed by an apostrophe at the end of the lines where it
occurs. Or, since you appear to be just logging, you could break the key
words a little (e.g. "com-mit").

Good luck,
Mark

2017-09-27 Thread Riz
Hey Cyrill,

Attached is a JSON file with the feature you asked for. In the edit card
modal, it will show a new button that will open the card in the normal TW
mode.

Download, drag and drop it to your TW while you are in the TW-mode

sincerely

[tw] Re: Fountain Parser for a screenwriting tool

2017-09-27 Thread @TiddlyTweeter
Ciao Mark S., TonyM, Jan & Richard WS

I just wanted to comment back into this thread--since I left my last posts
kinda hanging--and then things opened in a somewhat different direction
that I'd anticipated.

I want to give a big thank you to Mark S. who did a lot to help us,
probably more than he realises, grasp better the direction needed.

In another thread, BJ has given the basic solution to t*he MARKUP problem*
by writing a regex component for his FLEXITYPE PLUGIN
. This avoids the problems with
Skeeve's useful, but rather dangerous route.

I have a few specific comments that may be of interest to you ...

1 - Mark S.' FOUNTAIN PLUGIN

opened my eyes to the fact that Fountain is only really "5%" explicit
markup. Its real brilliance lays in* interpreting IMPLICIT markup from the
simple plain text* layout of screenplays.

I did tests throwing into Mark's gizmo the whole script for Apocalypse Now
Redux. It got near everything in the layout correct without a single added
piece of markup. That's seriously impressive.

2 - This has completely changed my view of Fountain--as well as what is
needed for formatting screenplays in TW.

3 - Now that BJ has given a workable, safe, way to "preparse" using regular
expressions, without needing any direct JavaScript coding, I'm now working
on a similar approach as (1) for screenplays in TW. Its just a matter of
knowing what Regexes to use & the Fountain Library on Github gives many of
them. So I'm hopeful I can make something good enough for most practical
purposes.

4 - FWIW, what became clear to me, personally, was that in in this thread I
was slightly blurring up TWO things, albeit related: (a) a *delimited
issue with screenplay formatting* and (b) *a more generic way to have a
kind of "Tiddy Regex Workshop"* through which you could develop NEW ways of
marking-up text without having to deal with the inherently complex TW core
parser system (for which I'd be worse than stupid at). With BJ's plugin
that issue is largely now manageable.

My next step is to finish-up creating a basic markup for screenplays.

The step after that will be to turn towards the issue of what is an
APPROPRIATE INTERFACE for editing screenplay Tiddlers? Jan has done quite
some work on this already. I'm hopeful its not going to be quite so
complicated moving into that as sorting through to now was.

Things are looking up.

Best wishes
Josiah

Re: [tw] Re: Another shot at kanban

2017-09-27 Thread Rizwan Ishak
The first one can be done. Give me a couple of hours till I get back.

The second one is trickier. As of now, the content of the text field is
parsed as plain text. Wikifying it is something I set aside for the next
version. I ll definitely include easier ways to expand the features in the
next edition.
