[tw] Re: Tiddly Extension for Firefox 57?
I'm using TiddlyWiki classic. When I save an edited TiddlyWiki file using the browser's Ctrl-S shortcut, then close, then reopen the file, I get a message that the file “has been incorrectly saved“. The backstage link is then duplicated at the top of the page. When I edit that page, save again (using browser's Ctrl-S), close and reopen, I get that error message again and now have three backstage links at the top of the page, though only one of these, the bottommost, works. However, when I click on the working link I get three sets of backstage menus. This happens in Firefox (56.0.1) and Chrome (62.0.3202.62). I suspect that each time I save a new TiddlyWiki file using the browser's save command a new instance of the backstage link and area will be added to the newly saved file. Obviously, that is unacceptable. What am I doing wrong and/or how can I prevent or rectify the duplication of backstage links and areas? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. Re: [tw] [TWClassic] Can't save file anymore in Firefox
Oh, there is a TiddlyFox icon. I was able to click on the "Enable Save" button and could save the TiddlyWiki file now. Thanks. Sorry, was oblivious to that. In that other thread, I vaguely recall reading something about the save property not sticking between Firefox restarts, though. Unclear when that applies. So, what do you suggest I should do now with the auto-update switch of the TiddlyFox add-on if preserving functionality of my TWClassic pages until all eternity is my ultimate goal? Should I leave it on Auto, or force it to Off? What would have happened had I had the Auto-update switch already on Off prior to the update a few days ago? Would I have still had a problem saving, or would I have been able to continue my TWClassic hermit life undisturbed? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw] [TWClassic] Can't save file anymore in Firefox
I'm using TWClassic and am unable to save my files in Firefox anymore. I believe it has to do with the recent update of TiddlyFox. I saw the other thread "TiddlyFox seemed to stop working", but I'm not sure a solution is provided in there for my situation. I tried reinstalling a previous xpi-file of the TiddlyFox add-on (tiddlyfox_extension_for_firefox-1.0alpha18-fx.xpi), but Firefox refused to install it, because it isn't signed. I have not been able to figure out how to work around that. I don't have control over application versions at work, so I cannot downgrade or install "an unbranded" version of Firefox that supposedly helps. It appears I should have prevented the automatic update of the TiddlyFox add-on? Would that have prevented my issue? But then, why was I able to install the old add-on in the first place if it isn't signed? Is there a solution for my problem? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw] [TWC] TiddlyFox extension will be disabled after you restart
Just got the message "TiddlyFox extension will be disabled after you restart Firefox" in the Add-Ons section of Firefox 44.0 (see attached screen-crop). There is an Undo button/hyperlink, but when I click on it, nothing happens, and I haven't yet restarted Firefox. Does that mean I won't be able to use the Save-feature in TWC anymore? If so, what options are there for saving an edited classic TiddlyWiki? I'm using TWC in a very locked-down Windows environment at work and have access to Chrome, IE 11 and Firefox. Browser add-ons can not be installed directly from the "market/web store". -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw] [TWC] How to write two underscores?
In TW Classic I want to write a word that begins with two underscores (__) but I can't figure out how to do it. The How to Format Text tiddler doesn't seem to provide a solution. Is there an escape character so the double underscores are not interpreted as the beginning of underline markup? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] [TW5] Can't install add-ons. Can I still use TW5?
I'd like to use TW5 at work, but my employer does not allow to install Firefox add-ons. Can I still use TW5? [tw] Tiddly-wiki-like mini-database or spreadsheet?
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows of a platform that contains a user- definable mini relational database system (or spreadsheet) that's all contained within one or more HTML pages.
