[tw] Re: override TeamTask-colors / stylesheet

2013-11-08 Thread Wim

Hi Wim,

It really depends on what exactly you want to style and thus the currently
applied style definitions. To figure that out, use your browsers inspection
tools by right clicking the target link and then something like inspect
element in Firefox or Chrome. Then find out what css selectors make up the
rules for this link.

As a general rule, the css rule you define needs to be either applied
after the one you want to override or be more specific in order to overrule
it. In case of doubt add an !important to your rule, e.g

.someClass .tiddlyLink{
font-weight:bold !important;
}

In general, adding a wrapping css class as I suggested will make it more
specific. However, you may need to also include some outer wrapper still
which you will find out by having a look at the style panel in your
browsers developer tools, e.g...

.viewer .someClass .tiddlyLink{
}

or perhaps

.someClass a.tiddlyLink {
}

The only reasonable way to find that out is by using the inspection tools.

Tobias.

Hi Tobias,

after using the FireFox inspection tool, I found that I had to change
a.tiddlyLink in a:externalLink.
Now, everything works as I want.

THANKS!

Wim

[tw] Re: statistics with external text file

2012-12-11 Thread Wim
Hi Mario,

my TW is on a network. Several users have write access, but none of my
colleagues knows how to change something.
Navigation is with a own-build navigationbar and the TW is only used as a
knowledge-center, not for collaboration (writing). So I'm not afraid
someone will change the content :)

As I wrote, maybe the MessageLog plugin can be adapted to append the date
and visited-tiddlername (*) instead of the message. I looked at the source
of the plugin, but I don't understand where (and what) to change.

(*) only if the plugin is called as a macro from within the tiddler(s) I
want to log.

So every help is welcome.

Direct saving to external files, has been made much more complicated due

The new TW 2.7 version will fix some issues but I'm sure it won't make
your tracking possible out of the box.

So if you could specify your needs a bit closer, there may be solutions.

Do you use TiddlySapce.com?

[tw] statistics with external text file

2012-12-10 Thread Wim
Hello,

I would like to have some statistics to see what tiddlers are *visited* in
my TW and when.

Is there a plugin or macro that can update a simple *external text-file*with
the data of the visited tiddler. Of course, in each tiddler that has
to be tracked, there must be a link to that external text-file.

Something like :
(in the TW-tiddler) : update log.txt

(in the external log.txt) adding a new line (after each visit) with
this information: tiddler name date of visit

So the log.txt becomes a file like:

tiddler1 01-01-2012
tiddler2 01-01-2012
tiddler1 02-01-2012
tiddler3 03-01-2012
etc.

That log.txt-file can then be imported in Excel for further analyzing.

Can someone help me?

Thanks.

[tw] Re: statistics with external text file

2012-12-10 Thread Wim
I just found Eric's MessageLogPlugin that appends log-messages to a
shadow-tiddler.
Maybe this plugin can be used as base for my statistics-problem.
Instead of appending each log-item, the viewed tiddler (parameter ?) could
be used as message. The date and time are already there... And then, I
don't need an external file.

Maybe someone can help me to change (a copy of) that plugin.

[tw] changecount

2012-05-29 Thread Wim
Hi,

every tiddler has a changecount-parameter.
Is it possible / easy to add a viewcount-parameter that counts... the
visits of this tiddler?

I know Eric's VisitCount-plugin (http://www.tiddlytools.com/#VisitCounter),
but this uses browser cookies to store the data.
In my office, the cookies are removed each night by the IT-department AND I
want to count the visits (by me and by other collegeas) of tiddlers.

Therefore, a simple (??) viewcount parameter, identically to the
changecount-parameter could be a solution.

Thanks for helping.

[tw] Re: tagging part of tiddler

2012-05-26 Thread Wim
Hi Whatever,

wow!! What an elegant solution. THANKS A LOT !!!

Just one suggestion for the explanation on tiddlyspot: mention the used
syntax in the examples, like :

*Empty sort value, 1 match value* : getparts sort: filter:area
match:doc
Area A Book 3 - excluded
Area B Book 1 - excluded
Area B Book 2

Once again, thanks for helping; I think a lot of people can/will use this
plugin!

Wim

Op zaterdag 26 mei 2012 16:26:18 UTC+2 schreef whatever het volgende:

Hi, Wim!
I looked into your problem and came up with a solution. I wrote the
GetPartsPlugin (1), which enables you to set the tag of the tiddlers,
through which the plugin should search for parts, to specify one more
more comma-separated values and to sort the results.

So in your case, assuming your TIDDLER1 and TIDDLER2 are tagged
files, you could write:
getparts filter:files match:pres,depA
The result would be a list of all the presentations for depA.
If the files are unsorted, you can sort them like this:
getparts sort:a filter:files match:pres,depA

getparts filter:files match:pres,depA,depB
This would give a list of presentations for depA and depB

Note that the plugin uses AND for the match values, so all values must
be present for the entry to be displayed.

 (1)http://tiddlywiki.abego-software.de/#PartTiddlerPlugin

 Well, you can only tag tiddlers, not sections, slices or parts. Each
 tiddler, on the other hand, can contain multiple sections, slices or
 parts. The code calls up all tiddlers which are tagged with your tag
 and which contain a part with a certain name. So if instead of parts
 you'd be using sections, the only thing that you'd need to change in
 the code is / with ##. For PartTiddlerPlugin syntax, see its
 documentation.

 Otherwise, can you post the content of your tiddlers?

 @Wim
 Well, that cleared it up.:D Anyway, I see your problem. You're using
 part name as sort of tags. I think this problem can be solved using
 regular expressions (provided you use a standardized naming
 convention), but I'd have to look into it. I'll give it a shot when I
 have the time, unless a regexp wizard has a ready solution.

2012-05-21 Thread Wim
Hi Måns,

I'm trying the forEachTiddler suggestion and it works if I use this :

forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.title.contains(ABC)' write ...

BUT only the content of real tiddlers with a title containing ABC are
displayed, NOT the content of the part-tiddlers.
So a part partnameABC content /part is not displayed.

I tried to change the where with ... 'part.title.contains(ABC)', but
without result.

Can someone help me?

Thanks.

[tw] Re: tagging part of tiddler

2012-05-21 Thread Wim
Hi whatever,

thanks for your answer and I will try to explain what I want. It's a long
explanation...
I want a TW (kind of knowledge base) that can be used in different
departments (office); each of those departments can have documents and
presentations (both stored locally - TW is also local).
*Some of those documents can be used in one department, others in all the
departments.*

Suppose I have 2 tiddlers, one for all the documents, one for all the
presentations. Each tiddler is divided into parts, *where the name
contains alle the POSSIBLE departments for that document/presentation*.

*TIDDLER1*
part doc_depA_depB_depC file:///doc1.doc /part part
doc_depA_depB file:///doc2.doc - file:///doc3.doc
/part
part doc_depA_depC file:///doc4.doc -
file:///doc4.doc /part

*TIDDLER1*
part pres_depA_depB_depC file:///pres1.ppt /part part
pres_depA_depB file:///pres2.ppt - file:///pres3.ppt
/part
part pres_depA_depC file:///pres4.ppt -
file:///pres4.ppt /part

*Now...*
I would like to filter (in a new tiddler) all the docs and/or
presentations for one department
like (I know, this doesn't work,and that's my problem):
forEachTiddler where *part.title.contains(depC)* would give me
file:///doc1.doc
+ file:///doc4.doc - file:///doc4.doc +
file:///pres1.ppt + file:///pres4.ppt -
file:///pres4.ppt (that is all the doc and all the pres for
depC!!)

or

forEachTiddler where part.title.contains(pres)part.title.contains(depB)
would give me file:///pres1.ppt + file:///pres2.ppt -
file:///pres3.ppt (that is all the all the pres for depB!!)

I hope that's clear and... that someone has a solution...

Anyway, your question actually resolved a small challenge I had so
I made a TW for my needs, that does show a little of what could be an
answer for you...MAYBE.

Its here in my site
-http://www.unigaia-brasil.org/Cursos/tagsGerador/index.html
- the content is in portuguesbut you should be able to see how it
works - for example click on the icon that looks like list...its a
List! and select say Economia the left side panel will show
the sub-items of the topic Economiaif you click on one of those
subItems...note that the right panel now shows the sub-sub-items, AND
in the heading at the top right a bit o text appears..the
explanation for the sub-item you just clicked. If you click on a
sub-sub-item in the right panel...the heading text will also
change !!!

Note that I have not put the explanation into a popup panel.rather
it appears in a fixed position panel that hovers over the right side
of the topHeading panel. this hovering panel has a transparent
background. but text is set to black so it shows up when there
is something to show up!!!

This doesnt use any special plugins. the panels are defined and
positioned in PageTemplate and StyleSheet. while the making of
lists and text appearing in different locations is all done with some
simple bits of javascript.

I still have to clean up a few details in this TW...but I hope you get
the idea...and its useful.

Hope that helps a little.

 the tiddler Beginners in my right Scrollbox.

You can have a scrolling tabs effect in the sidebartabs tiddler with
Tobias' tabscroll macro:http://tobibeer.tiddlyspace.com/#TabScroll

It has been setup to work only with the sidebarTabs div - maybe we
could convice Tobias to make it more generic??

[tw] sticky popup / show popup plugin

2012-04-23 Thread Wim
Hello,

Is it possible to put a sticky popup-box (tiddler) on a particular
place on the screen? Like you can do with ScrollboxPlugin?

I want to have 2 boxes on my screen; on the left side a scrollbox
with keywords (OK, I can do that...) and on the right side a
popupbox with the explanation of the keyword a users has clicked on.
The explanation-box should stay on the same place. And should
display another explanation when a user chooses another keyword.

But with ShowpopupPlugin, it is only possible to choose above or
not.

Or is there another solution? Like filling a ScrollBox with the
tiddler of the choosen keyword.

LIKE: if there's a keyword Tiddlywiki in my left box, with a link to
the tiddler named Beginners, clicking on that link should display
the tiddler Beginners in my right Scrollbox.

Thanks for helping !!

[tw] Re: scrollbox - is new feature possible?

2012-04-05 Thread Wim
Eric,

thanks for your solution. It works perfectly but it took me a while
to figure out that I had to change EVERY ScrollBox tot
ScrollBoxWithLink (and not only the tiddlertitle...)

On 3 apr, 14:56, Tobias Beer beertob...@googlemail.com wrote:
Hi Wim,

You could also just use:

@@display:block;height:150px;overflow:auto;tiddler some tiddler@@

and then be able to...
* place anything inside the scrollbox, not necessarily a tiddler macro call
* place any links you want around it

To be more generic, you could define css classes in your StyleSheet like so:

.scroll150 {
   display:block;height:150px;overflow:auto;

}

and then use:

{{scroll150{tiddler some tiddler}}}

From a usability perspective, reusing a grid is better than to be able to
define any arbitrary height.

So, you could eventually even do this in your StyleSheet:

/*SLICES
SCROLL:display:block;overflow:auto;height:
*/
.scrollS {StyleSheet::SCROLL100px;}
.scrollM {StyleSheet::SCROLL200px;}
.scrollL {StyleSheet::SCROLL300px;}
.scrollXL {StyleSheet::SCROLL400px;}

Cheers, Tobias.

[tw] scrollbox - is new feature possible?

2012-04-02 Thread Wim
Hello,

I recently found the scrollbox plugin to display another tiddler
within a given rectangle.
In the current version, there's a scroll for more at the bottom.

Is it possible to change this scroll for more to a link of a
tiddler, maybe as a parameter :

tiddler scrollbox with: tiddler1 15em tiddler2

With this example, the content of tiddler1 is displayed in the
scrollbox, but after clicking on Click here, tiddler2 (=another
tiddler) is opened.

The QOTD [2] info tiddler describes the plugin options. With the
cookie parameter you can specify the name of the cookie you want to
use to store the needed info.

The cookie name for SystemSettings will be:

txtQOTD_ + yourCookieName

so if yourCookieName is eg: index it is:

txtQOTD_index

SystemSettings tiddler should contain

txtQOTD_index: 1

it will be automatically refreshed by the core and saved with your

[tw] Re: quote of the day

2012-03-28 Thread Wim
Hi,

I didn't try the cookiejar plugin (yet) as I really want to have a
random-display of the quotes.
BUT...
I found something strange, as all the TW's on the internet that uses
the QOTD, work fine:
When saving those (working TW's) locally, then the QOTD starts every
time with the first quote. Maybe there's a BUG because the random
function does not work when opening a local TW.
And my TW has to be local...

Can Eric S (or someone else) correct this bug?
Thanks.

Any information stored in cookies can also be stored as data on a per-user

[tw] go to top of large tiddler

Hi,

when I open a large tiddler (from a tiddler-link in my start-

I want a large tiddler to be visible with the upper part (= the
top); users can scroll if they want to see more.

I searched the group, but the answers are found, are related to
problems with macros. In my case, it's just a simple link.

Can someone help me please?

[tw] Tagsplorer Macro

Hi,

I just found the Tagsplorer Macro (http://tiddlyweb.peermore.com/wiki/

it starts with showing ALL the tiddlers and the list shrinks when
adding new (filter-)tags.

Is it possible with an EMPTY list; when adding (+) a new
(filter-)tag, then the corresponding tiddlers for that first tag are
shown and so on.
