As a Tomcat user I have been looking forward to getting Tomcat 4.1.x into my production environment. Up until now I have had issues that have prevented me upgrading. I'm a regular reader of this list but my only previous participation has been when voting a previous milestone of 4.1.x not stable. I'm very pleased to say though that all the issues that I have come across have now been resolved and 4.1.17 is working very well for me. Thanks very much for all your hard work on the product. As a user, that use tomcat 4.1.17 since it came outi say stable. [X] STABLE Reason why: 1. We need a new official stable release, latest is 4.1.12 ! 2. Dear Tomcat developers, I would like to say that new release of tomcat (after 4.1.12) is very much needed. I am very hopeful that 4.1.17 will make it to release soon. I did some pretty intensive stress testing with 4.1.16 and it worked great. I also use lots of tomcat integrations - my own security Realm, several custom JNDI factories, Context listeners - all work well with 4.1.16 We also use Apache/Tomcat integration and we discovered that mod_jk/Ajp13Connector combination in tomcat 4.1.12 does not work very well under stress (we are getting a lot of connection failures) while mod_jk2/Coyote holds works well in the same tests (tomcat 4.1.16).
